I have a BofA account so i have a traditional IRA with Merrill Lynch. They're ok, and they offer an intro of 3 months of free trades, and after that its like $6/trade unless you have >=$20,000 and then you can negate that trade fee.

I use a trader's account through my bank (cibc). Sounds pleb tier I know, but in Canada there's a type of account where you're sheltered from capital gains taxes, and I find that worth the higher per-trade fee.
