>26 year old NEET reporting in
>Only worked at a few jobs longest lasting 3 months at a McDonalds
>No license or own any sort of vehicle
>Living in a small apartment that's run down that family helps pay for since it's dirt cheap but that'll end next month along with my food stamps
>Lives in an area where I'd have to be able to drive to get to work
>Only $200 left to my name

How do I get myself out of this fucking rut living in an area with no jobs other than fast food? Should I just take the shitty fast food job and try to work from there? But how will I ever save up to get a car or move away from this hell hole. /biz/ I need your help now more than ever on becoming financially stable.
>>
>>1319940
Take a fast food job you fucking idiot. Clearly, you are not above it.
>>
>>1319945
I get that, but how does one get out of poverty working only fast food? Any alternative or extra income tips is appreciated here.
>>
>>1319947

you save for years and dont spend money on dumbass shit then you use your skills slugging it up in fast food to find better employment

and being a part time fag working 4 hours 2 days a week will get you nowhere..start with 10 hours a day 6 days a week to get ahead
>>
>>1319956
60 hours a week, do you realize how hard that is to achieve. I had 38 hours a week when I worked at McDonald's and that's only because they were short staffed while I was there.
>>
>>1319947
>I get that, but how does one get out of poverty working only fast food?

You're getting too hard ahead of yourself faggot

you're a fucking 26 year old NEET with 3 months of experience at a min wage job. I don't think you need to be worried about getting out of poverty or getting rich or any of that shit at your stage.

Honestly you should just be happy to be employed and paying your own bills.
>>
>>1319947
$9 p/h x 70 = $630 per week x 2 = $1,260 per payday minus tax so expect about $900. Spend $400 of it on whatever you need and save $500.

In a year of working 2 or 3 shit paying jobs for at least 70hrs per week, you'll have about $12,000 in the bank.

Keep going... or use that to take the next steps... whatever... it's called 'hard work'
>>
>>1319958
Time to grow up bitch, life is ying yang, you've used up all your ying now go fucking yang like crazy. No more relaxing till you can support yourself, youll look back later and you can look back proud at the time in your life when you became a man.
>>
>>1319960
Yes, I know. I just want to make up for the years wasted as fast as I can.

>>1319962
It would be nice to figure out how to manage to get 70 hours a week. Not sure how my health would handle it though.
>>
>>1319971
>Yes, I know. I just want to make up for the years wasted as fast as I can.

Don't. You can't.

Just go steady, perseverance is the number one goal.

Make small but managable goals and get them done. RIGHT NOW your goal should be to get employed, pay your own bills and not be reliant on anyone else to provide your living expenses.

From there you can move forward.
>>
>>1319968
I know, but I'm just trying to come up with multiple ideas to make more money. Personally I'd like to make money online rather than working fast food. But if I can manage a way to do both till I can "level up" from fast food to possibly retail or something better that'd be great. I just don't see me finding more than 20 hours a week.
>>
>>1319978
So there's no way to work 20 years of work in 10 to catch up with my peers who started working at 16/17 years old?
>>
>>1319940
buy bitcoin
>>
>>1319981
Honestly I wish I would've invested while it was still low. I'd like to get into ways to make money online.
>>
>>1319971
10hrs per day intimidates you? Shit son, that's starting work at 9am and finishing at 8pm (with 1hr unpaid lunch break). You have the whole night to chill out (or work another job)

The deal is... that's how it's done. Then as your hourly rate goes up, you can cut back hours.

So after a few years you'll end up getting $18 p/h working 35hrs

Maybe $25 p/h only working 30hrs

If you invest a few years into fast food I assume by the end of it you will at least be a shift manager or something, with some good skills that can sidestep into a better place.
>>
>>1319980
>So there's no way to work 20 years of work in 10 to catch up with my peers who started working at 16/17 years old?

There is but you're not going to do it.

Just start slow dude. I know it feels good to post "OK GUYS THAT'S IT IM THROWING OUT ALL MY CP MAGAZINES, MY VIDEOGAMES AND MY COMPUTER. I'M GOING TO WORK 100 HOURS A WEEK AND STUDY FINANCE AND BECOME AN INVESTMENT BANKER" but it's not going to happen.

Consistency is the key here.
>>
>>1319979
Online money is a meme unless you're an autistic fuck who knows how to code. Try to get out of fastfood, find something that breaks your body, you will find satisfaction after a hard days work and its a challenge to push yourself harder. Start networking, ask around and show your willingness to take whatever comes your way. Ask questions all the time, this will make you understand whatever processes are going on plus it makes you come across as eager and full of potential
>>
>>1319983
its still not too late.. double your money in 3 weeks, after the halving. buy the dips and buy more
>>
>>1319987
I understand what you're trying to say. But what I was trying to state was I feel like it'd be hard to find 70 hours not that I wouldn't do it.

>>1319990
I'm not expecting 100 hours, just trying to at least get on their level.

>>1319996
I've been trying out "beermoney apps" as I'm desperate. Also put in an application for Robinhood to possibly give it a try.

I've been thinking about craigslist as I don't understand how to sell on eBay. I'm unsure of what all I need to get started such as printing labels, tools, never have shipped anything in my life, and their policies kind of scare me.
>>
>>1320004
What's a good bitcoin wallet to use? I haven't set one up yet. Also what about other crypto currencies? I've been seeing all the hype for Trump Coins on here lately.
>>
>>1320007
>I'm not expecting 100 hours, just trying to at least get on their level.

You're so far behind you should be happy to even be capable of supporting your own living expenses without external help.
>>
>>1320008
buy from coinbase.com

trump is a pump, but might pay off, who knows

WAVES look promising
>>
>>1320011
Haven't heard of "WAVES".
Also thanks for the information anon.
>>
>>1320009
But what if I was capable of doing 30+ ways of income at a time?
>>
>>1320022
>But what if I was capable of doing 30+ ways of income at a time?

You aren't. if you were capable of it you would have done it already.

How many "ways of income" do you have currently?
>>
>>1320025
Well, I'm trying to come up with ideas and asking on here, as well as reading articles online. Enough is enough for me. I have to do something! I'm telling you guys there's gotta be a way for me to do 20 years of work in 10.
>>
>>1319979
totally feel your struggle anon.. Working fastfood is a misery of an existence. I felt like killing myself when i did factory work. Now trading online, very happy
>>
>>1320028
Plus it's very passive if you're good at it. Simple as buying low and selling high. I've always liked the whole reselling idea.
>>
>>1320036
you will make it anon, if youre dedicated enough.

You need money to make money tho.. You cant trade if you have 0$ in assets. just hang in there, and save your jewbux.. if you see an opportunity, go for it
>>
Hello OP. I grew up in a trailer. 20 years ago I was donating plasma after work to scrape together enough money for diapers. I'm currently sitting in a $260k suburban home, enjoying my weekend off from my $95k job while my wife and sons sleep upstairs.

I was almost homeless at one point. Shit was scary.

> if you haven't already, sober up

> take any job you can take

> once employed, seek out an office job - any office job will do, data entry, order entry, etc

> from there, begin volunteerin and mingling

> work your way up

That's what I did. I could give you my life story but it's mine. Make yours. Best advice is, whenever your boss says "hey can any of you .." you raise your fucking hand. You're not overworked and underpaid; you're being paid to get an education.
>>
>>1320040
>>1320054
Thank you both. Honestly as stupid as it sounds I was writing down jobs in my area and wrote a note saying if it doesn't work out for me this time I'll commit suicide but that just sounds seriously retarded. I can't give up. There's just gotta be a way for even someone like me to make it as long as I try.
>>
>>1320057
Yea suicide is seriously retarded.

You're 26 years old, living in the land of opportunity. Seize your youth and seize opportunity. Don't be a pussy.

This board has a .. thing .. against what they call "normal fags". They use the word "normal" as though it were a slur. Because they're abnormal. And failure prone.

Be fucking normal.
>>
>>1320057
youre still lucky anon, to be 26 with someone still supporting you. Not many people can have such a privilage. I think your main problem was you got pampered too much.

I started working when i was 16, due to poverty.. Never went to college. It was just a do-or-die situation. Learned the economic fundamentals, and now have passive income.

You will make it, anon, just dont be scared to fail, and just try. Learn to laugh at your mistakes and keep improving along the way
>>
>>1319940
Just take the fucking fast food job. Working any job is working better than no job.

>>1319947
Don't spend all your pay on anime porn. Save money, work hard, get a reference, apply for better jobs once you're used to the full time grind.
>>
>>1319940
Are you me?
>>
So what to do if there isn't enough work in the field you've majored in? Where I live (urup), in the industry I work in, most people are happy doing the bare minimum in a stable job, with little opportunity or incentives to get ahead.
>>
>>1320310
be a merchant, create your own opportunity
>>
>>1319940
You could goto good will and get some cheap but nice clothes then goto a dollar store and get a pack of razors. All you need to do is shave everything...and I do mean everything, from the neck down. Put on some girl clothes and go on back pages and prostitute yourself...Or go on Craig's list and look for an older man that you can live with in exchange for cooking and cleaning and giving.him some love.
>>
>>1319940
And I thought I was lazy...
>>
>>1320330
I should add that you should undercut everyones rate by ten dollars...so say 40 or 50 bucks for a half hour. That is almost a hundred an hour. Work ten hours a day for 4 or 5 days a week and you should be VERY comfortable
>>
>>1320317
My problem is, I lack social skills that go beyond work-related stuff (talking about recreation etc.) as well as lacking creativity. How do I make up for both?
>>
>>1319971

height, weight, race, gender please
>>
>>1319940
you might be right on the cutoff for free tradeschool, google "jobcorps"

>How do I get myself out of this fucking rut living in an area with no jobs other than fast food?

Kill yourself

>Should I just take the shitty fast food job and try to work from there?

It's that or kill yourself

>But how will I ever save up to get a car or move away from this hell hole.

If you can don't spend as much as you make, or just kill yourself
>>
>>1320353
sounds like you need to be a NEET trader.. aquire money and do trades. The internet has matured so much that its possible
>>
>>1319956
Is this a joke? You cant even afford community college with that if you're living on your own.

ITT: people that wasted their lives
>>
>>1319940
Because you were such a stupid lazy bitch the last 7 years (10% of your life) you're going to have to WORK EXTRA HARD to even be middle class.

> Get a 25 hr a week job
> Get another 25 hr a week job
> That's $1500 gross a month
Use your last $200 to get Uber rides to and from work.
Your shit hole shouldn't be more than $600 with utilities and everything included. $200 for food. Use that 700 to buy a god damn car, a $700 car.
Constantly apply for better jobs. I assume you have a computer because you're online. I have a decent job, so I only apply to one better job a day - you should be applying to 5-7 a day.

Make a resume with /biz/s help
Get those jobs
Get a car
Applying for jobs is your hobby

Honestly I don't think you're going to make it, if you did you'd have employment already. But I hope you do. Making it isn't fun, but contrary to popular belief it is easy.

Ways to make money from nothing in order of sketch

>Get a job and save money
>Sell shit you make from trash at a fleamarket
>Sell shit on craigslist you find at goodwill
> Run through the woods with a shovel and sell the plants you find
>Steal aluminum cans from everybodies recycling (or ask) and sell that
>Buy vegetables from walmart and sell them on craigslist as "organic"
>Steal shit from stores or phones from people and sell it

It takes no real skill to do any of those things
>>
>>1319940
Coming from experience, stop making fucking excuses like a whiny little bitch. Nobody honestly gives a shit about you or your NEET life, because they have their own lives to worry about. I notice you like making bullshit excuses to viable solutions for your problem. Go on ebay and look for a reasonable roomate. Work hard at a fastfood joint so you have money to pay bills, maybe wi-fi for entertainment (assuming you already have a PC as a NEET). Save up the rest like a responsible adult and spend it on college, stocks, or whatever method you see fit. It's your life and your decision to waste it.

Stealing is a golden tip because either:

(1) You get away with it and can make bank

(2) You get caught, put in jail, and then you don't have to worry about food or rent.

Win-win OP. Start stealing.
>>
>>1320007
Selling on ebay is super easy. Just take the object to the store and ask to mail it. Just make sure you charge adequate shipping fees. Theres lots of websites to calculate shipping fees, just weigh the damn object your selling. You might still be able to get a free postage scale from stamps.com when you sign up with their free package. May have ended already.
