how do people pay rent with minimum wage? if the state minimum wage is 9 dollars an hour, they'd only make about 945 a month, taxes not included. thats not enough to support one person. what the hell are they supposed to do? assuming they have a high school diploma/GED only and working Mondays to Fridays

Well there's 4 weeks in a month, so add that in there as well as 8 hour work days to make it 40/hrs a week.

(9$ x 8 hours a day x (365 days minus 100 weekend days) ) / 12 = 1590 a month
