Noone on /biz/ ever loses money. It's all happiness and circlejerking here. If your trendy new self help book isn't working it's because you don't believe in yourself. If you invest in a stock and it goes up, it's because you're a genius. If you invest in a stock and it goes down, you're an idiot. It's all definitely scientific and objective and not one big meme.

We're all going to be millionaires because people who aren't, are just dumb and lazy, but we aren't. We know what an ETF is, that must mean we are all very smart.

You realize most of the penny stock are pushed by shills?

Look guys! this penny stock wen't up 30% today! to the moon!

The shitposters will post on 17 threads and have conversations with himself & collect a 5-10% profit (more if they're lucky).

Rinse and repeat.

I've been trading mostly oil & blue chips and I've gotten good gains. I've read enough financial news to know how to spot shilling, I just come here for ideas.
>>
>>1265074
I think they also trade amongst themselves to give the appearance of volume moving in the stock they shill.
>>
Not buying into the ETH shilling. Was going to put about $4k in back in early-mid Jan when it was $1.5. Learned how to mine it, setup all the software with 0 previous experience with crypto-shits.
Decided running my gaming rig into the ground wasn't worth the effort so decided to straight buy ETH instead. It all fell down when I had to buy BTC and didn't know how or from where, didn't trust the sites. Basically made excuses because it was easier and missed out on 700% gains (i would have sold @ $9-10)

You missed the point. I was in a position to make 700% profit between mid Jan and late March but missed it because I flinched at verifying my details with a BitTrade site. A site i have since successfully made multiple purchases with.
My hesitation cost me nearly $25,000 profit, not including the 5% BTC increase during the same period. And I was right there, just had to take the leap.

Maybe a blessing in disguise though. That made me realize the difference between the people making real money and poor slobs. Those making bank are having a go, putting their money to work even if it's bleeding shitters in pump-b-dump scams while ignoring the crabs in the barrel. Poor people, NEETs and underachievers just watch TV and make easy horseshit excuses.

I bought on hype too much and lost a lot of money (for me). When I didn't buy on hype, I bought EBS, NVDA, and MXL, and have made money off them, but I'm still in the red.

bought £4k worth of stagecoach shares a few months ago just before they were about to release their quarterly earnings. They had already said that they were expecting good results.I planned on selling just after the release to get 5% back on my investment. I was playing around with short term buying and selling and it was quite fun. They released their report and it turns out that their profits went up by 12% however it mentioned that they in the near future were predicting a slowdown because of the ISIS attacks in paris and said that this would mean people would be put off their services and traveling. bought around £3.6 a share with yearly highs of £4.1 in the past per share. they dropped to like £2.7

>2009 been lurking 3 years, someone posts a thread giving away bitcoins, make a wallet, accept bitcoins
>2010 "all this bitcoins are only worth like $2!" make a thread giving away bitcoins to dubs and for tits (i was a 16 y.o).
>2013 haven't thought at all about bitcoins last few years, go to uni, in my dorm is an australian exchange student who tells me theyre worth like 700 dollars each.

Within a week I developed full blown depression. I've been on anti-depressants for three years. It doesn't matter how much I rationalise or what I say, every few weeks I'll wake up in the middle of the night with a weight on my chest, and then I bury the regret. Most tragic thing of all is in 2011 I thought about buying some BTC off a friend for like $100, asked my brother for some money (17 y.o poorfag) and he said no, I remind him of it to this day.

But yeah. For anyone wondering how many BTC it would have been, enough to make me want to kill myself several times over. The bitterest irony is it was so many BTC I was convinced they were worthless. (OH WOW XXXXX.0 BTC only worth $2? -> trash)
>>
>>1274640
dude you've got to realise that some things happen for a reason.

nothing lost nothing gained.

oh yeah right maybe if you would have sold them when they were worth 700 each where would you be? what would it have taught you?

So you would have had some money if you sold them at 700 but then what? You would have changed because you would have riches even though you didn't have to work for it. You were able to taste the ripe fruit but didn't have to experience the toil of watering the plant and working hard to maintain it. Riches are better experienced after you have been through the struggle trust me.

Just work hard and be smart and you will experience great things in life. Keep your head up you've got your whole life to live.
