How often does Robinhood or yahoo refresh a stock price change and how often does yahoo refresh stock market changes? If i see a 2 dollar stock price per stock is it possible it changes in the time it takes me to choose the number of stocks i want, accept the price, and pay?

>Robinhood
No idea. As it's a broker, I should imagine it will be real time.
>how often does yahoo refresh stock market changes?
Yahoo! quotes are 15-20 minutes delayed depending on market.

Of course. The market price is changing every second. You need real time quotes.
Little tip: do as much market research as possible when the markets are closed. That way you don't have to think so much about what/how much to buy when they're open.

yes. use limit orders instead of market orders if you want to avoid buying above a certain price. read up on the different order types on ivestopedia, dicknose. most amateur investors can probably live without real time data if theyre not trying to get rick daytrading
*i meant 'get rich
i dont know any Rick

Whats the best place to view real time charts? Yahoo seems like a solid place the price above the chart changes
Real time correct?

through your online broker i think. i use questrade (canadian) and they charge a monthly fee for better data. i dont need this because i'm not a big swingin dick daytrader who stares at charts all day.
i don't know anything about robinhood.

Etrade is 15 mins delayed. The chart/numbers that is. When I hit buy its real time.

honestly dude, you sound like a goofy faggot, just keep your money in a checking account for now. at least that way you'll only be losing 2-3% a year to inflation while you learn more about trading and investing

They're not really going to make updating prices on their site a priority, namely because real-time data feeds cost money, and you aren't giving them shit.
Like the other anon said, as long as you aren't trying to act like a trader, it shouldn't really matter.
Yahoo finance is real time now.
