What are some recommended guides that are free?
What are some recommended guides for purchase.

I'm doing this instead of going back for my MBA so I'm willing to spend money if it's worth it get the best material.

level 2 candidate here. Just download the schweser notes. Analyst notes has really good practice questions for level 1. Not using the for l2 though.

Get the Schweser books. You can get the books that are a year or two old really cheap on ebay. Just make sure you look up what the curriculum changes are (CFA Institute publishes a list). The curriculum is like 95% the same each year though. Good luck. I got the charter in 2012 and it was probably the most difficult thing I've ever done.

Bump because I'm also interested in doing this... coming from a Biomedical science degree though (looking to focus on medical/biology technology companies)... Already have a few firms willing to take me in when I register for level 1.
