I doubt it'll actually collapse however it will change irrevocably from the way its run now. Its the currency wars coming to a conclusion. something along the lines of dollar may or may not be the reserve currency, USA may or may not stay as Numero uno world economic power umm so as we move closer to those answers the markets will react in their usual way mad panic up or down.
