Depends on your local economy.

If you live near a large metropolitan area, know somebody, and can get into the local Union like IBEW or teamsters, and can learn to suck enough dick (metaphorically and possibly physically), then you can be pushing $35 an hour by 25.

Carpenters make $42/hr
Electricians make ~ $55
Plumbers and sprinkler fitters make over $60/hr
Elevator guys make $100/hr

There are many good paying trades. I started carpentry at age 17 and at 22 I pulled $60k last year. A friend of mine is a welder for an elevator company and he made $120k last year. A couple friends work at a gold mine in Nevada and drive company trucks around the site all day for $100k a year
