Is RIGHT NOW the time to buy oil company stocks?
The market has bottomed out and there's a >95% chance of oil being $80 by the end of the year.
Politicians throw a bone to the wagecucks and keep gas artificially low in election years so they get re-elected.

buy a few shares and buy some put options
Oil economy is dead.
What is your reasoning for OIL bottoming out?
I heard oversupply is going to be an issue... More fields found in venuzuela i think.
Iran is back in the game.
Opec hasn't made a deal yet, and they want to keep atleast market share,
I am by no means a qualified investor on the topic, but do follow markets and an avid student of both IR/Eco.
Would like to hear your reasoning.
will big oil let alternative energy flourish? solar companies are shit, have to see how elon electric car company does. lithium batteries could be good, but even the LIT EFT looks like shit.
fucking oil man.

You've been trading too many leveraged WTI contracts, it seems you've had a stroke. Please relax during the weekend, thanks OP.

Absolutely not.

Isn't the world due for some war in an oil producing region? War also drives up demand, war machines are big consumers. If there is any more of this world peace business it may go a bit lower but the trend has been up up and away for 40 years now.

I bought some TVE (Tamarack Valley Energy, Toronto Stock Exchange).
It returned to profit making last quarter, unlike a bunch of other oil companies.

See pic.
>I heard oversupply is going to be an issue... More fields found in venuzuela i think.
Oversupply is a current issue. But Shale production is continually declining. American production is already 500000 barrels a day less than at peak, and that number will continue to decline. Production can't increase in Venezuela, the country is fucked. There's 5 hour bread and toilet paper lines.
>Iran is back in the game.
They want to increase their exports by 1 million barrels a day. It's an issue, but overstated.
>Opec hasn't made a deal yet, and they want to keep at least market share,
OPEC is going broke. At current prices, these countries will be bankrupt in five years.
It looks like the oil price will go down soon again, but the oil companies will do slightly better than the wti itself, considering the low price of some of the companies atm.
But overall, not a good spot to invest in oil
Exxon investor here.
