Seeking advice for a unexpectet Business situation.
My Person : im 20 years old, and live in germany. Im student an i study BA .
It happend yesterday. A hairdresser saloon is running and seeks a New owner. 2 employees. One is a normal hairdresser the Other one has a more advanced schooling an Can train New young hairdressers. The store is running. The skilled one Works about 30 hours a week the Other one 20.
Monthly cash now without any Other workers about 12 k.
Costs for rent,salary,and shampoo about 6 k .
Price 25k.
10 k instant,10 months 1 k and 10 months 500 this is how it can be financed.
The previous owners abadon the salon because 1 Wants to study again the Other one has family plans.
There were about 150 applicants.
It happens That a new friend of Mine, got the deal.
Her dream was to own a salon for a long time. The offer is perfect. And she will also work there and that will be another 8-9 k a month , according to the calculations of a finance adviser , who writes the books and is for 250 a month includet in the rent . The problem is they dont have the cash.here comes my part.
The deal is i get 10 grands untill 04.04. They will pay me back and already said that ill get another 5 k for sure. Then my Plan Is to convince Them to Give me a 25% ownership on the saloon.
What do you think?any advice ?

When you loan them money, be sure to get it registered, and have a written contract. Or guess what, they are not going to honor their promise and you won't even get your 10k back.

First things first: How do you protect yourself in this deal?
What are other salons selling for? See a business broker.
What liabilities are not apparent to you now? Is a client suing the salon? Have they paid their taxes? Have they already sold the salon to someone else and they are scamming you?
Are the employees deadbeats? Are the former owners walking away from debts they owe?
Buying a small business is like sticking your hand in a bag of snakes. Be protected.

Me (1163928) again, on second thought, you have no guarantee of getting payed back even if you have a contract. Why do they need to borrow from you, a private citizen, are they not good for a loan from a bank? WARNING!

Well, you said "a new friend". Why would you trust a new friend? How do you know the friend is not a notorious swindler? I would never loan money to a "new friend". What trouble was there with the police? Did they swindle someone? Sounds like they have a lower treshold for commitiing low-time crimes like fraud... because as anyone will figure out fast, is that swindling someone in this manner is the smallest amount of jailtime if they ever get convicted for it at all. It's almost the perfect crime. :^)
