How do I develop discipline, personal responsibility, and a work ethic?
I wish I were joking. I can't do anything unless I am being pushed by someone else, it doesn't help that I have ADHD ontop of it. I can pretty much only do anything when I take adderal/vyvanse, but I don't want to live the adderal life, the side effects from these drugs are frankly shit.
I can't be on-time to save my life, If I had to pick the absolute WORST flaw in my character it would be my punctuality.
It seems like these good qualities come so easy to my peers, but whenever I try and put some good old fashioned work in it feels like my veins turn to acid and my head goes into a vice, I can't keep it up for more than a couple days without absolutely burning out. I'm obviously missing something.
Alternatively, what a some good jobs for people with adult ADHD? I mean I could probably go into accounting and live off of adderal but then I'd die of a heart attack at 35.

Guess what? You and everyone else, limiting factor number one is unaccountability to oneself.
Write plannings for yourself and stick to them (like leaving home early enough to be on time) use alarms if you need to.
And stop fooling yourself that you're this great person who just can't harvest his own greatness because muuh discipline.
You are as great as your ability to discipline yourself, no more.
