Why is crowdfunding more successful than venture capital?
Shouldn't expectations of profit in case of VC get more capital to firms than just people liking the idea and contributing their money, often without expecting a profit?

This... OP please research just a little before making a post.
I can believe it. The past few years VC has been throwing money at everything hoping for a billion dollar buy out and not worried about that pesky thing of having a product. While with Kickstarter, people obviously are willing to buy it.

VCs do expect profit. If you can't deliver a profit (or probably anything ever) then do crowdfunding. Also Google "Angel Investor" groups in your area.
