What do you guys think about gap year? Can it be really useful or is it just waste of time and money?
For example, I am from Russia. Taking gap year isn't a common practice here, most of the kids go to uni right after school. Most parents would say that they'd forget eveything they learned at school in one year, so it's better not to take any breaks.
But as the result, most of the students don't know what they want to do in life and take some "prestigeous" career. For example, I am studying management. I don't actually know what a manager does, but being a "manager" sounds good to me. In other words, I keep studying in order to live on my parents' money.

I did it, although I didn't give it a stupid label such as 'gap year'. I just didn't go to uni right after I finished school. Spent 6 months in New Zealand, and after that I worked for 6 months.
It certainly gave me more perspective on myself, and my life and what I wanted to do with it, but it also made it hard to go back to uni after being entirely free for a year.
I don't know about Russia but here in the Netherlands this sort of thing certainly can be used to impress the person hiring you.

Why not? Don't you want tight Ukrainian pussy?
Don't you know how inexpensive the prostitutes there are nowadays?
>>1043257
I'd prefer to stay away from prostitutes, especially the Ukrainian ones. Especially dressed in Russian military form.

Nigger if you study 'management' you will be around prostitutes all day every day.
>>1043263
>you will be around prostitutes
What do you mean by that?

>not getting straightforward allusion
