Yes but why would you want to?

Studying for the CPA is difficult enough as it is with an accounting background.
Teaching yourself from scratch or even using a prep with no background would be too stressful and time consuming.

Not saying it can't be done, it just seems to me that a majority of economics would be easier self taught than accounting.

Or you could just go the double major route.
