Thoughts on this /biz/?

I think it would be fine if "Arts" represented Economics and Business.

Kill yourself, musicians make more money.

Are you Chinese?
>>
It's not too unreasonable, honestly.

There is a huge demand for graphic designers, CGI artists, etc.
>>
there is definitely something engineers have that designers dont, and things designers get that engineers will never have. overall, its just meme refinement, and i think we all can agree that meme refinement usually hits diminishing returns relatively quickly unless its frogtier. stem isnt frogtier

i have a bfa in jewelry/metalsmithing, had ~50k scholarship and have no debt. i am in a position where i feel i can do anything myself. i have learned cad/cam, 3d printing techstuffq and also have good wood/metal working training. planning my house now, looks like 20 grand will get me everything i need including land.

i am transitioning into working for myself because i have a variety of skillsets from my studies. """""""art""""""" jobs are very resiliant against being outsourced. there will always be demand for 'local artist' whether that is craigslist nogs shilling their logo designs or independent jewelers making personal/custom jobs for old ass grandmas who dont want to chinese made shit.

it certainly is/isnt fit for particular personalities, but if you are so inclined it is a very enjoyable/satisfying route to go.

i would also argue that it is as important as those other letters, but not with you kuks

Architects instead of arts

It's less than 5% of the supply, so assuming you're not a mongoloid and speak of demand in relative rather than in absolute terms then no the demand is actually tiny.

This horseshit gets posted all the time.
"Engineers are asocial nerds who don't know anything about design..."
Leonardo da Vinci was an engineer, artist and many other things.
Putting a label on a person just because of what his qualifications are is just super retarded. There are a lot of engineers who are very gifted in arts and there are artists who are technically gifted.

My friend from college is a hipster fuck who majored in studio art with an emphasis in painting.

He landed a 60k gig before he was handed his diploma as a production artist. After a year he swapped companies and makes 85k and works in one of those ultra chill bro offices. No stress. TVs and open work places. Cats and dogs roaming the office.

I'm actually really jelly of his job, but I can't into art.

Get that shit out of here

That would be fine arts, not (liberal) arts
>>
Best well rounded in all aspects not just one. Like Leonardo Da Vinci, Newton, Plato and other greats from before.
>>
>>1001894
kind of stretching the definition too far, this will just confuse everyone

great if you'r writing clickbait articles, not great if you're trying to do something more practical and make actual original inferences

No. How about STEE(ducation)M?

Does anybody have a video of a day in the life of one of these offices?
>>
I think it's part of an attempt to fuck-up science and engineering through political correctness and make them end up like arts is now. Sort of like that Atheism Plus crap that was floating around a while ago.
