There exists a plethora of boards with a blank caveat of "rules" about what gets posted there. Merging or Deleting (some of) them would only serve to disrupt those communities and thus they may proceed to spread out to other parts of 4chan further disrupting those communities as well in a cascading effect.

But then there is the other problem of /b/ continuing to do what it does and perhaps bring EVEN MORE attention to 4chan than what /pol/ has already done (I question the plausibility of that scenario, but it is still a possibility nonetheless) so it needs more restraints, but that in itself contradicts the very foundation of /b/ I mentioned earlier.
So what CAN be done with /b/? Nuke it and risk losing the rest of 4chan as collateral damage, or leave it fester in its own shit till it implodes?

The election made /pol/ worse than it already was, flooded the site with r*dditors, and is as of right now probably the worst thing to happen to 4chan, but if /b/ is deleted, It will make the past year look like a fucking joke.
