Not very interesting but here goes

I work as an operator at a skilled nursing facility (mainly old people) and we have this trans patient that's a little off their rocker
Anyways
Yesterday she somehow managed to call 911 and an ambulance and fire truck came screaming into our parking lot and when the emts went into her room they discovered nothing was wrong. When asked why she called them she just "wanted to see how fast they would get there" and wanted to thank them for everything they do.
I wasn't working that day because in order for a patient to call out they have to go through the operator so I don't know if the person on duty just said fuck it and transferred them or if she had a cell phone but it really does piss me off knowing that a CNA could have prevented that but the ones in my building are so fucking incompetent

QT's everywhere. EVERYWHERE anon. I've been all around the world in my career, East coast, west coast, Asia, hell, I am even in Europe right now as we speak (Spain), but out of everywhere I've been- Japan had the best. The girls, no, the PEOPLE are ALL completely nice and humble. Everything is recycled and clean, I would love to go back. Also, sonic had my back. The manager said "come on get your drinks" literally 3 times. I told him to shut up. He said to me "Did you tell me to shut up?"
"I did. And I quit" I don't care if I get blacklisted. I'd rather sell air fresheners for a buck under a bridge then go back there.

Sonic is nice but the issue is that I work with a bunch of teenagers who are at their first job and have no idea what they are doing and freak out over the simplest shit.

Eh, they called me back a couple weeks after to see if I had "figured it out" yet, as if I could magically make dozens of Yelp reviews from dozens of different people disappear. I just quit then and there. I realize now they indefinitely suspended me instead of firing me outright so there'd be no grounds for wrongful term.

I've dealt with bullies my whole life, man. If you can't physically overpower them, it's best to just ignore them, otherwise you give them exactly what you want. I can't even try to physically confront someone in another country, so I just played it cool. Sometimes you just get dealt a bad hand.

I have no way of knowing exactly who it was. The person I suspect, oddly enough, didn't make the post in the vegan group, it was one of the mods in that group. I tried to talk to them, but they blocked me. Dead end.

Definitely never putting my job info on my memery FB again. Might make a more professional alternate acc in the not too distant for family and work related things.

I have a couple interviews coming up but they're all at semi-cushy part time jobs. Receptionist, Assistant, Kennel work, that kind of stuff. Hopefully something works out soon.

3. NEVER add people to your facebook from work unless they are already your friends.
3A. if they are your boss' make sure they know you well enough. Don't be like my friend who added his boss' and coworkers thinking he could get along with them online and ended up just not talking to them and pussied out in confronting them.
4. Leave your Job, social and internet lives all separate.

2. Job - This is your "professional face" where people see this side and only your pro side

We were warned by our old boss that this might happen as our new boss only got where she is due to the fact that she's a childhood friend of the CEO's daughter. I know for a fact that a few people at corporate, particularly Compliance (they handle all the consumer rights stuff and make sure everything is above board), aren't so fond of her. And I did bring up that our old boss had a policy of being tansparent because I knew it would set her off. She hates being compared to our old boss.

I lodged a formal complaint with corporate, and my team (I was the floor manager) all made signed statements that I attached to it. But even if they remove her or something I don't know if I'd go back. My husband works his dream job and I've been thinking of dropping to part time for a while anyway.

something similar happened to me as a kid. 16, walking down street. old man standing on sidewalk. tells me he has been locked up, and needs help. tell him I can give him a few bucks, he says he needs stamps. that they steal his stamps. that I need to help him.

he starts telling me stories about how he's from jersey, and one time when he was younger they fed some union guy to the sharks off the docks.

finally nurse walks up, she tells me he escaped, guess they have facility in the apartments there. I felt fucking horrible for him, I tried to "grill" her and make sure he was getting his stamps and shit. you could tell she just wanted me to fuck off.

he was so sad going back, i didn't know what to do. I wanted to help, but ... well.. alzheimers / dementia.

2. always up-sale everything and make it sound like it's a "hot" item or it's something they need for WW3
3. Make a facebook page and constantly post shit and run ad shit to get your page noticed
4. Do weekly or every 2 weeks deals. And not "buy 1 get 1 50% off!" or "buy 2 get 2 free" no you have to be "buy 1 get 1 free!"
5. Don't forget, customers need to be stood up to tho. They are assholes

I'm the one that works at a nursing faculty. I get calls from the dementia patients pretty often. They'll say shit like "call the cops I'm being held hostage" or even just nonsensical shit. Sometimes yelling at me for medication and since I'm just an operator there's literally nothing I can do except call for a nurse. After four years of working there I've become so dencensitized that I've started either ignoring calls from patients I know want to stir shit or just hang up in the middle of their sentences
