those are definitely true. I conduct such interviews. Mainly they want to know that you understand Big O on a really fundamental level. When I was interviewed, I was asked to make datastructure that allowed O(1) add and remove, with O(log n) look up.

>>745126139
Reasoning is important, but we get paid to write code. You gotta write the code that implements the reasoning. Usually people have the idea, but can't write the code.

For example, In python 2, range(n) is O(n) in space complexity, but most people forget that.

Overtime all the time, It's time and a half.

It's an exhausting job though, The paranoia exhausts you. It's not in the best neighborhood and obviously not open to the public, But I think most people in the neighborhood know what the building is (even though It's unmarked).

I got hired with only 3 years experience as a loss prevention officer at target (which required no experience).

You need a couple years experience and a CCW, They will train you and pay for range time (at least my company). You get a issued glock (19, 22, or 20) and XM15E2S but you can also carry whatever guy you own as well

They are the most common one.

Eotech got caught by the U.S. Military selling them defective pieces of shit for years. That is why there is a quiet, recall out on them.

They do not hold their boresight over temperature, so when the temperature changes much, the sighting moves off. The worst of it is, when it comes back to the temperature it was boresighted at, it doesn't return to the zero. It just drifts all over.

Navy's test group at Crane caught them on it a couple years ago.

I import aftermarket automotive tuning parts from Japan and sell them online to people here in the US and elsewhere. I also have my own personal product line catering to a rapidly dwindling competition hobby (1/24 scale slot cars). I had started college between 98 and 2000 for computer science, but bailed and began doing this. I'm now 38 with no future because the market for used Japanese tuner car parts is dying, and the hobby product line is basically pizza money now & then.
Somewhere along the way I failed in life. I don't really care anymore. I haven't had a girlfriend in over 14 years, my teeth are beginning to fall apart, and I can't even afford the cars I sell shit for anymore.

For a supposedly forethinking company that's surprisingly short sighted. By the time you've done several years of academia your brain is heavily geared toward one mode of logic. You've essentially been brain washed into thinking a certain way over nearly two decades.

Most of the truly huge innovations in mankind's history have been from practical experimentation or thinking outside of the box, which at twenty some years old with several years of uni you'll be increasingly unable to do.

I don't have sources to hand, but I'm fairly sure the studies and statistics can be Googled. I read it on paper, and some years ago at that.

We're a discount theater so we show movies after they leave first-run theaters so we don't get very many customers. Maybe 200 people on a week day, and 550 on a weekend. We did over 1400 on Labor Day so that was pretty busy for us.

The cotton gin is but one example. Eli whitney was a large component of the industrial revolution. After inventing tbe cotton gin, which revolutionised textile manufacture, he then went into musket making and innovated the concept of standardised interchangeable parts. Two huge components of the industrial revolution.

Did he hobnob with Newton in a learnatorium? Did he fuck, he just thought of ways to make life better.

Had a shitty blog in college. Some local editors thought it was funny. Wanted to be a journo, but that pays shit. Also briefly worked on the Hill. Couldn't deal with shitty pay working comms in congress, got an offer to do it somewhere else. Paid better so I took it. Now I make 85/year, but it's DC, so that's like making 50 anywhere else in the country
