What does it smell like? Death and poo?
>>
>>745016711
Nope I have Perianal disease which causes abscesses to constantly form in my ass
>>
>>745016807
Actually doesn’t smell like anything. I’ve been collecting the puss in a medical container and it smells like basically nothing
>>
>>745016950
Post the container
>>
>>745016600
Looks fucking painful
>>
>>745017036
Pretty thin container so it doesn’t look like a lot, but it is
>>
>>745017081
It is. And after 4 surgeries you would hope it would stop by now

For about 5 years now. I was lucky the first time it happened it didn’t come back until 2 years later. And then a year after that one. Ever since then it’s been off and on
>>
Dude you have either an abscess or a perianal fistula. You should get that checked out; could mean Crohn's or UC
>>

FUCK OFF AND DIE FAGGOT
>>
>>745018629
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and Perianal 5 years ago. Like I’ve stated in this thread I have a reoccurring abscess that continues to come back after 4 different surgeries. I’ve taken antibiotics and have done almost everything to try and stop it. My doctors don’t know what to do at this point, and neither do I
>>
>>745018823
I have many times. Nothing seems to work because of my diseases
>>
>>745018529
That yes and had some drains put in that the surgeon took out about a week ago. It closed back up almost immediately after that and just reopened again tonight
>>
>>745016600
What do?
>>
>>745019013
Dang sorry dude. No joke that sucks. Can you post more pics of the abscess? I'm interested in dermatology.
>>
Have you tried Remicade or any other biologic?
>>
>>745019192
I don’t have anymore. It’s pretty disgusting as it is and I only took that one s I could post it. Typically there isn’t much to see on the outside beside where the incision was made since it’s all in the outside. I used to have some MRI pictures of it but I don’t have them anymore unfortunately
>>
>>745019419
I’ve actually been getting remicade infusions and taking methotrexate since I was diagnosed
>>
>>745016600
That sucks. I have hemorrhoids and IBS and I'm constantly cycling between diarrhea and constipation, plus my asshole bleeds when I shit for about a week out of every month. I basically get periods. Can't really do anything about it. Shit sucks.

There so much fucked up shit our guts and asshole can do to us, isn't there?
>>
>>745016600
Nowhere near that much puss, but I have had a fistula for like a year and a half and occasionally get it. I don’t want to go to the doctor over it, but it is pretty painful and annoying. I’m worried about it growing and tearing and making me incontinent. But fuck doctor trips man.

Any advice? Am I safe if I just keep it clean? I peroxide it up and use some other shit normally used to clean open wounds.
>>
>>745019512
Yeah there is man, I also get constipation from it quite often. Such an unfortunate area to have problems too. Good to know there’s someone out there who at least understands part of what it’s like
>>
FRY THE LIQUID IN THE CONTAINER, NOW!
>>
I feel you man; you're not alone. Have a seton placement myself, and have been treated with Remicade for about 5 months now. Still no word on whether they're going to remove it or not. Fistula's suck ass (pun intended)
>>
If we didn't have modern medicine, nature would have killed you niggas a long time ago. I just took a big ogre shit, it went out smooth as whiskey, barely even had to wipe
>>
>>745019685
Yeah, it's literally a huge pain in the ass. My doctor gave me a topical ointment to use, it seems to reduce the swelling a bit, but doesn't really do too much. I've had all the tests done, it's not cancer, it's not crohns, my asshole has just decided it doesn't like me for some reason and throws tantrums whenever it pleases.

Stuff like this is just really shitty to deal with. Can really affect your quality of life.
>>
Was the horse cock worth it?
>>
>>745019572
Honestly man I know exactly what you are going through. When all of this first started I also had a fistula, but it healed and now I just get abscesses. I have the same thoughts every time mine come back. Do I try and let it pass and hope it heals itself? Or do I go to the doctor and try to get help? Let me tell you man, the doctors always win.
From what I have experienced with my fistula and abscesses, I would tell you to at least get it checked out so you can be prescribed some antibiotics. Trust me I know it sucks. The hospital is basically my second home. But as someone who has been in your position, that’s what I would say, because fistulas and abscesses don’t give a shit about you. They can do some serious damage to your GI tract.
With whatever you do I wish the best of luck, because I know how much it sucks.
>>
>>745018909
Dude I'm so sorry, have you tried seeking help from other hospitals and doctors, if you could afford that I'd say you should try it
>>
>>745019884
Yes they do man, I totally understand your pain. It fucking sucks
>>
If you're in the NYC area, try Mount Sinai IBD Clinic. They're amazing.

>ask ask a man who’s currently leaking puss out of his ass anything

Do you think that you might have made some poor decisions recently regarding your butthole?
>>
>>745016600
Though not the exact same, I feel you OP.

I have had a Pilonidal Cyst for over 6 years and it sucks so much balls. It will be fine for a while, and then I will sit down and feel a pinch/burn in my tailbone, and I know in a few days I will be hurting.

The cyst breaks inside me, and my body reacts, filling the area with pus and blood. Since it is under the skin there is nowhere for it to go, and a bubble starts to form at the top of my buttcheeks.

At that point it is a waiting game to see if it will break on it's own, or will it get so swollen and painful that I start squeezing it to try to release the pressure. Hurt so bad one time when I was trying to get it to pop that I almost passed out.

Then I have to squeeze as much pus as I can out of it, and stuff my ass crack with paper towels to catch the oozing and bloody discharge for the next 24 hours. I'm a fucking grown as man wearing a button down shirt at work with paper towels in my pants. I feel like I'm wearing a diaper.

This used to happen less frequently, but now it happens once or twice a month.
>>
>>745020255
I’ve seen a few different surgeons and GI doctors, but they all say the same thing; drain it and hope it doesn’t come back. The thing is it always comes back, it has for years now. I’m just at a point where I don’t know what to do, because it really starts to affect your life and mentality.
>>
>>745020522
I was born with Crohn’s Disease and Perianal disease. It wasn’t anything I caught or did, it was just the disease taking control of my body.
>>
>>745020604
I wish I could say yes, because at least there would be something I could do to prevent it! But no, I try to limit as many possible negaltive influences that may affect my butthole
>>
>>745016600

>>
>>745020697
Reading this post brought a smile to my face. Not because I am at all happy with what you are going through, but because I do almost the exact same thing.
Let me tell you, I thought there wasnt anything more degrading than walking around, going to work, with gauze and paper towels stuffed in my asscheecks. I eventually got tired of it and turned to pads. And then I realized there was something more degrading. Having to wear the same pads females uses when blood is coming from their vagina, to try and catch the blood and puss that is leaking from my abscsess.
But I will say, although degrading, it is the most effecient way to deal with it. I’d recommend.
I wish you the best man, all I can hope is that we all get through this shitty thing life decided to fuck us with.

Haha thanks man. Feels good to hear I am not alone, even when it fucking sucks.

It really is the best way to handle it, but only when you have the capacity to do so.

I once was onsite with a client in a different state. It started to flare up due to the 5 hour plane ride out there, and on day 3, at 9am I am demoing my build to a room of people. I am sitting in this really hard metal chair.

30 minutes into the demo, I feel a pinch, and a spreading wetness. I am sitting in front of 12 people, in a suit, knowing that I will not be able to do ANYTHING about this for at least the next hour.

3 hours later I am able to get into the bathroom and try to clean up. It soaked into my underwear, and into my undershirt, and through part of my dress shirt. Only a small spot on the back inside of my expensive suit pants.

I was so relieved, but also super embarrassed.

Fucking sucks lol.

That’s sounds like a nightmare. I often worry if I am bleeding through my dressings and clothes during a flare up, so I couldn’t imagine having to deal with that in front of everyone knowing there isn’t anything you can do. Glad you didn’t make too much of a mess and embarrass yourself

sorry OP good luck with crohns disease. I have pilonidal disease , i feel for you. not the same but similar.
>>
>>745023128
Thank you man. Wish you the best
>>
>>745022807
Yeah me too, I don't know how I would explain that to people.

I mean I could, and I would probably get a shit ton on sympathy for it, I'm bleeding and have an infection, it's not like I pissed my pants for no reason.

But still not something I want to explain to my VP while at the clients location lol.

Is this real life? Lol
>>
As someone who has excised a handful of pilonidal cysts, the only way you can potentially get rid of them is through having a surgeon cut out the cyst sack and have it heal from the inside out. Takes a while and requires multiple packings which are painful. Also, not 100% guaranteed to work. I'd only wish a pilonidal cyst on someone if I wanted them to suffer, they're terrible. Though it was funny when one time one of them burst while turning a patient and it sprayed all over my surgeon.
>>
>>745022866
Maybe you should just get a permanent surgical drain put in and be put on antibiotics to prevent a more severe infection from appearing. And you could wear it sort of like a cath bag but for your ass pus.
>>
>>745023416
That is the last thing I want in this word, to carry around a bag carrying any kind of bodily fluids. But a permenant drain may be something to think about. The only thing is that not only are they painful, but because of how close it is to my asshole it interferes with taking a shit
>>
>>745023391
Yeah I've done a lot of research on mine.

I ignored it for a long time because I had no insurance. Then I started busting my ass at work and there just has not been a great time to do it.

I saw a surgeon and he agreed I should do it, and before I could schedule it, he retired. So I would have needed another referral and I was like fuck that.

However that was 3 years ago and it's just getting worse.

My biggest fears are twofold:

1. I'm afraid on the post surgery. That is a delicate place to have cut open, and be stitched back up. How do you get in the car to leave? How do I get in bed? How do I take a shit?

2. From what I have read most have the wound packed and that has to be replaced. I live alone, no significant other. Who is going to help me with that? How am I going to take care of myself properly so I don't get infected?

Both of these keep me from doing the surgery. The symptoms are awful but at least o know what to do for myself...
>>
>>745023391

Pilonidal guy here. OP has perianal disease not pilonidal. His is far worse.. Its rectal not the asscrack.
>>
>>745023391
The only thing I haven’t done is have the pocket surgically removed. I have had 4 surgeries now, only though to have them opened and put a drain in. The problem though, as that with Crohn’s Disease means that there is such a high chance of it reoccurring, I don’t know if there would even be a point. And trust me, I’ve been through a lot and pulling out 6 feet of packing has probably been the most painful experience of my life, I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody.
>>
>>745022807
>Do a heavy drain
>Keep going till the blood stops being thick and smelly
>Fill crater with sterile gauze
>Clean area
>Heavy drain again if need be
Had abscess appear near my butthole before, drained the fucker as hard as possible, has not returned. Had some on my chest and back leaving scars. I swapped my diet dropping dairy
/Heavily processed foods and dropped smoking/drinking. Haven't had an abscess since.
>>
>>745023925
For sure. My asscrack problems are no where near the issues OP has.

Just similar stories in terms of coping with the issues.

the first time i had my packing taken out my wife threw up pulling it out and i passed out in her puke from the pain. was without a doubt a low point.
>>
>>745024018
Ok, but how am I supposed to do this to myself? I can't see back there, and the hole that is made is super small, I don't see how I could do that on my own
>>
>>745024169
Op here, bump
>>
>>745024121
Fuck me. I never even thought about that it would hurt, just that I wouldn't be able to do it myself.

God fucking damnit.

I have seen that they are now doing some of these as an open healing wound. Takes longer to heal but can heal more completely, had a better chance of not recurring, but also no packing.
>>
>>745024121
Taking out packing has been one of the most painful experiences of my life. I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy
>>
>>745016600
Anthony?
>>
>>745023847
Sorry, I can't answer those questions. Never really asked that stuff to the patients as they were either out, enduring the pain, or I was trying to distract them from what I was doing. But one did tell me that it was so much better since he got the surgery despite the long healing process.
>>745023925
Read the thread after I posted. Regardless, they both suck.
>>745023993
Did they at least give you some narcotics and tell you to take it beforehand? On rare occasions, if the doc allowed me to, I'd try to numb up the area before unpacking and repacking to help the patients at least.
>>

>>

>>
>>745024566
>suturing an abscess drainage hole
This is retarded. Do not try it.
>>745024324
Packing is done either with forceps or one of those long q-tip looking things if the hole is too small. Usually, you should only pack your own wounds if you can see/reach them easily. Also, use iodoform gauze initially for abscesses.
>>
>>745024566
I don't get it, I must be missing what you are saying.

How is a mirror going to help me see the top of my asscrack in a clear enough way to do what you are saying?

Even if I could see fully and clearly, my hands would be behind me facing the wrong direction.

I'm not ruling out that SOMEONE could do that, but I don't think it's possible for me.
>>
>>745024514
I took 2 Percocets a little over 30 minutes before I took out the packing, but it didn’t help. And if it did help, I couldn’t even image how much pain I would have had to endured more.
>>
>>745024785
Yeah that's what I'm saying. I don't see how it is at all reasonable to ask someone to clear and pack thier own pilonidal cyst.
>>
>>745024909
Yeah, it sucks. Especially in sensitive areas. One of the ones that looked like it hurt the worst for a woman that had an abscess kind of on her lower but cheek right next to her vaginal. She really should have gotten sedated for that one but the doc was retarded.
>>745024939
It isn't.
>>
I do need to see a doctor again about my cyst, and when I do I am going to ask about the new open would method. I'm going to do everything in my power to find someone who does it that way,
>>
>>745025073
Op here, good luck man. I’m going to bring up the same thing to my doc next time I see her
>>
>>745024785
i think he was saying the needle was for poking/proding not sewing it shut again
>>
>>745025073
Open healing isn't always possible. You still have to keep the hole open so your skin doesn't grow over the hole and make a pocket. That could result in anaerobic bacteria thriving inside and resulting in another kind of infection or improper healing.
>>745025220
Still retarded because you should pack with a thin but blunt object. Not sharp
>>
>>745025192
Check this shit out

An attractive minimally invasive technique is to treat pilonidal sinus with fibrin glue. This technique is less painful than traditional excisional techniques and flaps, can be performed under local or general anaesthesia, does not require dressings or packing and allows return to normal activities within 1 to 2 days. Long term outcome and recurrence rates are not dissimilar to more invasive techniques in 5 year follow up in a small randomised controlled trial.[13][14][15][16] Fibrin glue has also been shown to be better than more invasive alternatives in the treatment of pilonidal sinus disease in children, where a quick return to normal activities and minimal postoperative pain are especially important.[17]

A minimally invasive surgical technique, was developed in Israel by Moshe Gips et al.,2008.[18] and is similar to the pit picking technique first described by Bascom in 1980 [19] In this procedure, trephines or biopsy punches which only "core out" and remove the diseased tissue and cyst are used, leaving only small holes to heal. Work or school activities will be resumed in one or two days, without or with minimal postoperative pain. The two procedures have been successfully combined by L. Basso in Rome (Italy).
>>
>>745025316

>>
>>745016600
what made you think we wanted to see that?
>>
Bump, I'm way too interested in this thread. Best of luck to you OP. Just wondering, how does it get in the way of shitting? Is it just a pain, or do you have to avoid shitting for prolonged periods of time
>>
>>745025389
Oh, didn't think about it that way. If you're trying to cut open your own pilonidal cyst, good luck. That's gotta be incredibly painful without proper numbing medication
>>
>>745025505
Anyone can say they are leaking puss from their ass, but only those who can provide proof have credibility
>>
Also, dumb question, what are you guys referring to when you say "packing". Never had anything like this myself, so im pretty confused
>>
>>745025601
Taking a shit is pretty difficuly after surgery. Not only is it very painful down there, but having to sit on a hard toilet and have most of your body mass pushing down on it makes it worse. After surgery I usually have drains in place, and because my abcess is so close to my asshole, the drains sometimes get in the way. This just means extra clean up for me, but when something like this happens I usually take a shower after shitting anyways to make sure I don’t spread anything more. When I’m not post surgery, it usually doesn’t get in the way, only sometimes when I am having a flare up will I have constipation for some time.
>>
>>745023847
1 you should be alright to sit on it once it's all packed and bandaged up
2 if you don't have anyone to dress your wound they'll just schedule appointments for you to come in and they'll do it for you
>>
>>745025709
Henceforth the whiskey.
>>
>>745026010
You have a hole in your body from whatever was drained (think a giant pimple). Because the hole is deep, it needs to heal from the inside out. So they stuff some sterile gauze that has a kind of antiseptic inside of it to help prevent reinfection
>>
>>745026213
Sounds like a dangerous situation. If I was drunk, I wouldn't want myself near my own inflamed ass with sharp stuff.
>>
>>745026010
Putting gauze (a type of surgical fabric) inside the open wound in order stop growth and reduce the amount of blood and/or puss. Imagine having a hole in your body, a pocket, and filling that with a rag. After a day when your body starts to interact with it and develop scabbing, you rip it out of you. It’s deffinitely the most painful thing I have ever experienced.

Have you tried eating nothing but yogurt and boiled yams/sweet potatoes? Baby food is also good. Basically only eat soft cooked and pured fruit/root vegetables and yhogurt, maybe some soup/stewed meat. Also homogenize a tiny bit of tea tree oil in water (like 4 drops per litre) and douche yourself with that, might help with the infection. Tea tree oil is an irritant so be careful with that one.

Actually switch to a liquid diet, nothing even remotely solid, just broth and juice, and some yogurt, and quit drinking/smoking, take care of yourself. If that clears it up then switch to the diet i previously mentioned.

Drugs and antibiotics won't fix this, your digestive track is fucked and you need to make it work the least possible. Modern medicine won't help much at this point you need to drop bad habits and use self control. Think of eating as a dirty necessity not something to enjoy. Modern shit food is creating and epidemic of health problems beyond obesity and it will be decades before we understand the extent of it, if ever. The reality of today is if you're not careful you will develope a health problem after early adulthood. Don't rely on doctors and the gooberment, there's only so much they can do.
>>

I only eat 0-1 times a day though, so I keep most of the weight off. I think seeing this stuff here might put an end to some of my eating habits.

Oh agreed. Yours is way worse than mine due to positioning. That is what it looks like about 2 days after I got it to burst.

Never seen so much IBS and colon problems before. It's our diet. Some are more affected that others, but it's killing us all.

That's why you have 1 tumbler of whiskey not a whole dam bottle.

More like you're ripping it out from the inside. And it usually isn't a scab because the stuff inside the gauze prevents proper clotting.

My mom died from the complications of Crohn's, I am so sorry Anon, it is a very awful condition and I wish you the best. At the end of it all she had a total of 3 strokes and 2 heart attacks, lost the left side of her body, was on a colosipy bag (however you spell that) and couldn't really talk.

I miss her every day, but I think she died happy, she also donated her body to science which is very admirable.

I’m sorry to hear about your mom man. Crohn’s can be a bitch, I just hope I live a life where I don’t let this disease stop me from being happy and successful.

Dairy is only an issue if you're lactose intolerant, otherwise it's a great food for crohn's. I'd still only recommend yogurt (it's pre-digested sorta plus probiotic), and not regular yogurt. The only ingredients should be whole milk and bacterial culture, organic is also good. Most yogurt is full of crap to make it cheaper and quicker to make rather than just fermenting it with bacteria.

Eating "healthy" as recommended by your doctor isn't good enough, you need to eat only food that is extremely easy to digest, meaning soft, cooked, and pureed. Like I said, baby food is good.

If you tell me you eat raw vegetables and lean cooked meat I'm gonna slap you. Doctors are shit at treating this sort of stuff. Studies have found that people who eat more dairy and meat suffer more from crohn's/IBS, but they mistake correlation for causation. For many people with these issues meat and dairy are all they can eat, which I find ironic. Crohn's is a genetic predisposition and once it develops, regular steps to improve your diet won't work. Root vegetables tend to have less texture and irritating chemicals, and ripe fruit release enzymes which make them more easy to digest, cook them thoroughly to further improve them. Meat and dairy leave little residue after digestion. You need to limit your diet, eating a small variety of food is easier on your digestive system because it has to adapt to less.

Doctors will be hesitant to recommend any of this because all these steps are basically impossible to verify clinically.
