What would happen, if a sun made out of ice would collide with a normal, lava made sun?

The stars would be exactly the same sized and the overall temperature of the sun made of ice would be -1000 °C and the normal sun's would be respectively 1000 °C.
Would the suns annul each other so that only empty space would remain or would a sun of zero °C spring up?
>>
Not a scientist but probably a huge gas cloud
>>
>>744950731
sun of 0°C probably, as the temperatures would even out
>>
>>744950731
What are the stars made out of? Are they the same element?
>>
Also lol -1000c, absolute zero is like -273c
>>
We feed the sun. From the moment the media tells us the sun is dying. IT Will die. So dont believe in anu grap they tell you in future. Believe in futher generations
>>
>>744950731
Fusion would take place between the hydrogen in the water and the hydrogen already in the sun, it would more than likely create an immense amount of energy and the ice would be sucked into the core, creating a huge star. Or a gas cloud.
>>
>>744950731
before the colision happened, the ice planet would have melted. One more thing, there arent temperatures bellow -250 celsius (something like that). and -250 celcius or around that, its cold enought so the atoms and every particle cant move. so imo, the ice planet would melt before contact.

This is how oil is made. This is what the goverment doesn't tell you. The reason the ice caps are "melting" and how there have been so few volcanic activitiy is because they are creating oil on those underground volcanic factories.

Well, the ice sun would undergo fusion in its core due to the gravitational pressure and turn into a regular old sun. Likewise the "lava" sun would do the same thing and BLAMMO! Two suns with core temps at millions of degrees.
>>
What do they teach you in school these days... The absolute zero is -273.15C. Particles stop moving. Better question is if one sun is regular and other is made of antimatter
>>
>>744951115
that's boring faggot, it just goes boom
>>
What a retarded question. As others have said, you don't get below-273, or 0 Calvin. Heat is energy, cold is less energy, no energy= 0 Calvin. Ice isn't negative energy, so a ball of ice isn't anti sun, it's just less energy. What are essentially asking what if you took 1kg of flour and added 4gs of flour.

>>744950731
So many things wrong with this...
1. A sun can't be made of Ice which is effectively frozen Hydrogen and Oxygen atoms. You need a dense heavy core to generate fusion and neither atom is close to heavy enough. And even if you could obtain fusion the temperature would immediately rise rapidly so you couldn't sustain -1000°C

2. Lava is a more "believable" sun but a Sun made of Molten Lava would need a mass so incredibly high that 1000°C would be like a cool winters breeze. To be realistic the temperature would need to be much higher.

3. The energy wouldn't be destroyed so empty space couldn't remain.

Take a fucking science class.
>>
>>744951208
Ok, so what will happen if u add a few drops of 1% sulfuric acid to a bucket of 97% sulfuric acid?
>>
there cant be a planet made out of ice, the mass of the planet would try to collide in each other, thus the planet creates constant friction that will always have a hot core

Sun is made up of Hydrogens, Helium and few other chemicals but mostly hydrogen at a plasma state. Meaning these atoms are vibrating in inmense speeds creating a lot of heat and energy. Ice "star" would be impossible because cold is the lack of movement of atoms but a sun sized ice planet or a sun sized ice asteroid may be possible.
>>
I have seen this happen. You get a black hole

gasses. the pressure is so intense that the atoms get fused together making bigger elements until carbon then iron and that's when the star dies. violently.
>>
Ignoring the fact that neither of them are the sun and -1000C is impossible, they would collapse onto themselves as 1000C is not enough to maintain the fusion reaction keeping the sun going.
>>
a sun isnt able to be -1000 C or a 1000 C because the fusion reaction at the core of every star is too hot.
the closet thing would probobly be a really hot and a really cold brown dwarfs(stars that faild to create fusion)
if both colide they will create a huge gas cloud mess or a normal sun under the right conditions
>>
>>744950889
>before the colision happened, the ice planet would have melted
Wrong. Heat doesn't conduct that well in the vacuum due to the lack of an atmosphere. It would take quite a time for the ice planet to even start to melt.

> a sun made out of ice would collide with a normal, lava made sun

Firstly, it's not a sun if it's made out of ice
Secondly, our sun isn't molten rock

Since the coldes't thing known in the universe is around -250c and the temperatures below 0 scale differently than above it, the sun would probably just slowly either diminish or cause a massive explosion due to the temperature difference.
>>
Personally I think this thread shows how small a vision some people can have.

A sun is just a gigantic fusion reactor. Hot suns are regular fusion reactors, and cold suns are therefore producing light and energy by producing cold instead of heat.

That process has a name, it's called cold fusion and is one of the holy grails of modern science that no-one has been able to achieve yet.

Just because science hasn't been able to explain or master it doesn't mean it's impossible

What's painful to see is how scientists reject the idea of cold suns or white holes (black holes in reverse that emit time and energy and matter instead of absorbing them) because it hurts their ego not to be able to explain how they work, and at the same time fuelling the concept of invisible and impossible to measure dark matter and energy to ensure their useless research can be funded so they can buy a second house with an olympic pool in the yard.

This is just plain biased.

i'm not a scientist, so this is merely an educated guess; an ice giant wouldn't emanate cold like a "normal" sun would emanate heat through their respective galaxies. kinda like a snowball, you wouldn't feel how cold it was until you got very close or even touching it, whereas with a fireball of the same size, you'd feel the heat from a few to several feet away. multiply that by the size of the suns. my hypothesis is the ice giant would begin to melt and begin to boil as it gets close to the "normal" sun. turning it into steam. now, im not sure what happens to steam when in close proximity to a sun vs. the cold of space; that's where a real scientist would have to chime in or at least someone that knows their shit.
tl;dr not sure
also, booty.

>>744950731
Ice sun would melt as it got closer to hot sun , hot sum would Carrie on being hot as the power generated isn't from heat anyway , the gas from cold sun will just add to its power , making it a super sun
>>
It's B8 but heres an answer to an oddly interesting question.
There wouldnt be a collision (same reason comets dont actually ever hit the sun, its gravity forces them off course and they start orbiting it), the stars would begin to orbit eachother and the hottest star would slowly over time strip the other of its mass and eventually consume it entirely.
>>
You want to know what happens when two object's that dont exist collide...
>>
>>744958794

>>
>>744950731
So much wrong with this.

The sun is not made of lava.

A sun can not be made of ice.

Ice is not -1000c

Absolute zero is much warmer than -1000c
