The bud looks nice. No way to tell the strain but the strong strains are all hybrid Sativa/Indica. It's hard to tell which is dominant without seeing a leaf. Or by its effects, of course.

Not really, pure sativas are meant to be grown outdoors because they're typically very tall. Vast majority of weed you buy on the streets are indicas or indica dominant hybrids

A closet is good. Just dwarf the thing. Set its light to long durations during vegetation, then shorten the day a ton to trigger flowering early.

You'll need lights and a timer to switch them on and off, a fan to circulate the air in the room, an intake fan pulling in cool air from outside the room and an extractor fan to take out the hot air. The extract needs an activated charcoal filter on it to remove the smell. Then it's really a case of pots, soil (I use coco coir) and plantfood. The food can be expensive, but you get out what you put in. Over all, it cost me about £1000 to set up from nothing.

Most strains these days are not far off 50/50 hybrids so it's not surprising that they're similar. It's one of the reasons I started growing as all there was round my way for months was Cheese and I like to try new flavours and mixes.

if you spend a lot of time pruning and training the plant in veg, you can maximize your space more efficiently. pic related. this is using a scrog net (trellis net) to space the branches out. prolly spent 3 months getting to this point in veg alone. then another 2 months flower, then another 1 month curing.

There are differences in the buds too. Indicas tend to be a lot denser, often if you take an 1/8th of each the indica will be about 50% smaller. You tend to see more crystals on stativa, giving it that frosty look, as well as more hairs. I'd venture to guess OP has a stativa dominant strain.
