Falls in line with what I was tested when I was 12 by a professional though it was a bit higher when I was 12 (had awful grades, school was going to put me into retard classes, test came back and they asked why i was doing so badly, told them it was cuz i didn't care so when they told me they were going to put me into a retard class i started trying), and the test was actually almost exactly like this, though some used suits of cards for the patterns.

The test has actually been rigorously normed. You can get in contact with the test author and you'll see he works hard to maintain it. It's about as accurate as it's going to get online, I think. The JCTI is good too, but I think this one is more accurate.

The Raven's Progressive Matrices (a real IQ test) was leaked and you can access it online. This is the actual Raven's Progressive Matrices test: http://www.avlisad.com.ar/test/

I'm not sure if the score it gives you is correct or not (whether they've used the real norms for the test or not) but you can take the test and find the norms published online. If you want to take a real IQ test, there you go.

Test is fake. If you fill in the entire thing with random answers, it still scores you between 91 and 100. 100 should be the 50% margin for an IQ test. It returns this result despite random answers should be the worst possible result a person can be expected to give.

Long story short, the test gives inflated scores. Most likely so that people proudly post their scores and link to the site so more people visit.

I wouldn't know about Norways test (which is the one everyone's trying out in this thread). Different countries use different ways to measure IQ. There are also different IQ-scales, which is why members don't actually bother with the IQ numbers, and instead talk about the percentile. One scale could show that you have 136+ while another says 149+, but the percentile is the same.

If they tested based on learned information then they would be worthless unless every person taking them had access to the same education. Which in my understanding is something of a subconscious ability to find patterns outside of the immediate problem.

like with the block problem where we discussed whether it was mathematical in nature or visual. based on the fact that no other problem had been purely mathematical I made an assumption about how the problem was solved and it turned out to be right.

Not saying I'm a genius or anything like that, but that's always been my particular skill, I'm much better at finding shortcut patterns than actually solving a problem through sheer intellect. I often get halfway through and then make an educated guess and it turns out to be right.

This also gets me caught sometimes as some problems aren't presented in that way or are outliers from the norm.
