I'm from Brisbane, the city to the north of Gold Coast and the capital of Queensland. The lifestyle here is excellent imo, I've never even considered moving elsewhere. Rent is affordable enough to live in the city, however the city is large enough to be an exciting place to be. Crime is small here, and I don't think there has ever been terrorist activity, which is crazy for a city of 2 million +. I feel safe enough to walk the city streets at night. 10/10 lifestyle

Australia is amazing in terms of physical attributes- beautiful, warm, relaxed and easy to travel but the culture, law and infrastructure is basically the same as the UK- mostly right wing and retarded.

I prefer the weather in France because it's warm and bright but not enough to destroy the Springs and Autumns.
France is much more connected financially and for employment/travel etc. Aussie is obviously isolated meaning you can't switch countries/jobs/friends/etc whereas in France you can travel to 6 countries for less than fiddy bucks and stay there for not much more.
Australia is also dominated by a retarded political system whereas France is far more progressive though has it's own problems. The population is also far more educated and interesting. This means more creativity and better conversations, friendships, etc.

I have lived in many other countries for work and i can honestly say this land is one of the last gems in the world.
