I had one removed a LONG time ago. It did suck because it was coming in at like a 45 degree angle and shoving other teeth all crooked. I got a dry socket and had to get clove oil and cotton shoved in the hole for about a week. On the bright side the laughing gas they gave me was fun.

Had three of mine pulled with only local anesthesia. Stuck to applesauce and mashed patatos for a couple days. You'll be fine.

Literally just got mine out a week ago today. Just get some Tylenol 3 with codeine, they might even prescribe you it. It works wonders, take it every 4 - 6 hours and don't eat solid food for atleast 2 days. The mornings are generally the worst for soreness. After the surgery you'll be doped as fuck and it will be funny. Have a trusted person keep your phone because it's not a tired doped up, you'll want to do stuff. Also, Mac n Cheese is your friend. Don't neglect brushing your teeth, just be gentle. That's all I got homie. Good luck

Routine removals are minimally bothersome. Day of the removal you'll be out of it from the anesthesia and other drugs. Days after should have pain similar to a toothache, but the pain meds will easily cover that up.

If there are impacted or other complications there probably will be more pain, but again the drugs should do the job. I had all 4 removed and only needed painkillers for a couple of days and was able to do most everything as normal.

Also make sure to avoid smoking, using straws, and sucking dicks for a week. Don't want dry socket.

I got all four of mine pulled at once. Was put to sleep. They gave me vicodin but I didn't need it. (just binged them later). I did a mild workout later in the day. Ate soft foods for a few days then was fine. Not a big deal, you'll be good.

Do not wait.
You'll probably get 5/325 Vicodin.
Take 2x the RX'ed dose (that'll probably be 2 pills instead of 1)

Augment this will 600-800mg of ibuprofen every 6-8hrs (you can safely take larger doses of ibuprofen for short periods of time 2-3 days) this will help with inflammation greatly.

Staying AHEAD of the pain is the name of the game. Stick to the above for 24-36 hrs (2 vikes every 4-6hrs and the ibuprofen every 6-8)

Don't be an idiot and smoke, use a straw, eat stupid food, drink from bottles etc and for fucks sake take the antibiotic they'll give you...nothing hurts worse than an infection.

Doctors/dentists now recognize that basically all the pain associated with wisdom teeth removal is due to swelling. Ibuprofen is excellent for treating swelling and inflamation, so thats what they prescribe (just larger amounts). Since the inflammation is what causes the pain, and is treated by the ibuprofen - theres no real need for opiates anymore. That and doctors really dont like giving that shit out anymore precisely for the reason you want them to give it out.

Tells you that they already administered the stuff and that it should kick in any monent now. I remember adjusting myself to get more comfortable and fixing my hair (manbun fag here) and making a little joking quip banter with the doc about it. The whole time in my head im thinking how im gonna be a badass and fight the shit off and stay awake long as possible.

Next thing i know im in post-op all groggy and shit, literally as if i blinked my eyes and i teleported there while killing 3 hours or so in a split second. Sooo fucking weird lol. Apparently i was already out of the operating room for like 45 minutes and had a full conversation with the doc about how the procedure went and what to do when i got home - didnt and still dont remember any of that shit. I take solace in the fact that even if i said some weird fcked up shit, that the docs and support staff are all professionals and cant identify you by name when they tell their friends about it. Plus they see that shit happen all the time.

Last year I had 6 teeth taken out at once. One of the teeth brushed up on the root canal crown next to it and the crown fell off. It was glued back it, but it fell out again a few days later while I was eating and I swallowed it. After getting a new crown made, the gums under that tooth became infected and I was in agonizing pain for two weeks before they pulled it out.

Anon here with wisdom teeth coming in straight. Doctors say I could have them removed but I could also choose to keep them. What should I do? Is remaining conscious an option during removal? I don't have a fear of being put under, I just don't want to end up saying goofy shit in front of my mother. And is there any serious pain?
