Do hallucinations get worse when you don't get much sleep?
Recently I've been having wild hallucinations without enough sleep and I see shadowy figures peeking at me and then dashing behind cover in a second. Probably just sleep deprivation but I've never had anything like that

The auditory ones do get a lot worse. The visuals get weirder? Everything looks... sideways?
>Recently I've been having wild hallucinations without enough sleep
That's a pretty common symptom of sleep deprivation.
>>743654832

Makes me feel a lot more normal, for a little while at least.

Do hallucinations differ significantly over life changing events? Ex. Loss of loved one etc.

The visuals don't seem to. But the auditory ones definitely do, it all depends on what is happening. Any sort of high-stress situations makes them worse, though.

An analogy I like to use is:
It's like being run over by a bus and subsequently trapped under the bus. But, you're also the driver of the bus. You know at any moment you could move the bus off yourself, but since you're trapped under the bus you can't make yourself do it.
Does that make sense?

hey schizo friend.
I read a book a while ago about a dude with schizophrenia that had ravens follow him and whenever there was conflict there was always a huge group of ravens waiting and cawing nearby. Do you experience anything like that? like, for one, hallucinations that are kind of always there but small and hard to notice. and two, do you experience much worse symptoms when you're stressed and or unstable?

Hello.
>Do you experience anything like that?
Not specifically like that, but it is kind of similar. Though very, very difficult to put into meaningful words, but I'll try my best.

I get this feeling like the entire world is askew. Like everything (except for me) is just slightly tilted, and at any moment everything is just going to fall over. There is an interesting visual that goes along with it. Everything looks... off, not in its proper alignment.

>like, for one, hallucinations that are kind of always there but small and hard to notice.
A lot of my auditories are like that. Voices, a ringing in my head. Stuff like that.

>and two, do you experience much worse symptoms when you're stressed and or unstable?
Maybe not explicitly "worse symptoms", as in new symptoms that are worse. But, the symptoms I have do tend to get worse

Constant replaying of life internally through both auditory and visual, that allows me to predict outcomes, but usually too late, because psychosis is the norm, and no one listens.

As a result of this accurately remembering past events, first dismissed by those around me, only later to be conceded when someone at a distance confirms it to be true, factual.

Giving an insight to the events that have unfolded over the past thirty three years, trying to communicate what path to follow, being dismissed, then have them unfold.

And then no one wants anything to do with you.

No one is mentally ill. Such a... what's the word for it.. paradigm? I think that's the right word.
Such a paradigm does not exist. No one is mentally ill. For that to happen there must be a "normal" mentality. Which does not exist.

Think of it like this; if you become physically ill, let's say you have a cold. There's a clear "normal" here. (people who don't have a cold).
It's easy to figure out that the people without the cold ARE normal, too.

Just comparing the two, you can find that mental illness (in its current form) does not exist.

She was younger than me, 27.

I got the impression that she was trying to reform her slutty ways by locking down some hot white cock. Plus from my experience, most Asian girls want to get married at 25, and if they don't, it's assumed there's something funny about them.

I've put my cock inside enough sloots to know a good girl from a bad one trying to bamboozle me into thinking she's a princess. Although the way she kissed was fucking awkward.

The thing the makes it hard for me to settle down is that women have a shelf life of between 18 and 30 years of age. Anything older than that and no one wants them, yet a 40-year-old guy can still bang girls who are in their late 20s and 30s.

Women get worse with every year thanks to their ticking biological clock, while a good dude gets better.

If I get married soon, then I'm going to end up with some fat old bitch when I could be partying with chicks half my age.

I don't really see any girl as special enough to throw that kind of abundance away.

That's just biology, the longer you wait the harder it is for women.

There are so many things wrong with that entire statement.

Women can't have kids, they are still perfectly capable of having, and enjoying sex.

>If I get married soon, then I'm going to end up with some fat old bitch when I could be partying with chicks half my age.

Do you not see the world for what it is? It is actually about ninety percent of the planet that has some form of "cold" or virus. So, it does exist, it is just the majority are sick, then project that unto the fewer percent that are immune, or have gotten better.

>It is actually about ninety percent of the planet that has some form of "cold" or virus.
No, that is untrue. They just need someone to follow. Just sheep waiting for someone to bark an order. "Those people are all sick!". That does not make those who are the 90% ill. It just makes them "normal" humans. Of course to someone who does not believe in such notions. They will seem ill to us, just as we seem ill to them.
The argument is, that neither they nor we are ill. For such an occurrence as "mental illness" to exist, there must be a streamline of unbias "normality". Which cannot exist in the current organization of things.

>there is a difference between what we currently refer to as Homo sapiens, and it is whoever gives into what is the popular opinion of things at any given time that seem to be an issue.

You wouldn't think so but I get a lot of attention from girls who are 18-21. It's cos all women are fucked in the head with daddy and self-esteem issues, so you become a source of validation and approval for them (that their fathers never gave).

>Or you could wait until you're 40, and no one wants you and you have to actually settle for some old fat woman no one else wants.

That's an interesting point, and I would be worried about that if I didn't have enough going for me --
but I'm not.

Besides not being an efficient decision to make since I have other options, I also feel that committing to one person now wouldn't be an honest or sustainable decision.

I've had 5 different girls ask me or suggest marriage in some way, some were serious relationships. I even loved one of the girls and I still do. I just can't sacrifice that much of my independence because the question of 'what if?' would kill me inside.

I also look at my friends who did go down that route and they are living lives of silent desperation. Not soley because they got married, but because they never ran around being boys.

All humans are capable of that, it is part of the grand scheme that one would refer to as "normality". But does not make it up in its entirety.

>That's an interesting point, and I would be worried about that if I didn't have enough going for me

You're speaking about the present. I'm speaking about the future. 40 is 11 years away from your current age. That's a long time for all those things "going" for you, to cease going.

That's why we have invented dating to serve as the prelude to marriage. You can begin settling down whilst you are still dating, moving in, all that shit. >Not soley because they got married
I'm guessing you're talking about friends that got married in their early 20s/late teens. Which can work, but doesn't most of the time.
The marriage isn't what causes the unhappiness. It's to whom they are married, and at what age they are married, and their ability to actually sustain a healthy relationship.
Children (people "roughly" under the age of 25) DO not know how to make these choices. A 25-year-old does not know how to properly manage a relationship, they don't know what they want, they don't know how to convey what they "think" they want. It's a recipe for disaster.

>but because they never ran around being boys.

Another way of looking at it is that if I was a 100% sure on somebody, then I wouldn't have feelings of doubt or believe that the grass is greener. If those feelings are there, then something's wrong, or at least in my experience.

>Not soley because they got married
Actually, most of my friends are my age, some are a little older. I tell them about my experiences, and they're pretty envious and jealous.

It's easy to not appreciate what you have, but there was some legit regret in our talks about how their relationships and lives are going.

I don't know how you feel about this, but in my opinion settling down is just that: settling. And I absolutely agree that younger people don't know themselves or enough about what they want for a relationship to work.

Most relationships I see aren't the healthy, loving, open partnerships that they should be, mostly due to a lack of chemistry and compatibility in the first place. That's just what I've seen, not saying I'm right or anything.

>You mean running around having vapid sex with anyone that will let them? That's not being a boy. That's being something between a child, and an animal.

Haha this was funny to me. You are right in your own way.

I do find it amusing though that being in a relationship, abstinent, or monogamous is somehow more moral or high-minded than having casual sex. For random (attractive) girls to have sex with you they have plenty of options, so you do actually need to be bringing something real to the table.

To get a girlfriend you just need to buy her breakfast in the morning.

And I really doubt that those fat old pricks with their ugly wives don't fantasize about someone younger and tighter. Or that guys sincerely go for the fatties and ugly girls by choice. It just doesn't work that way.

Coincidentally most women will say the same thing about men. Both are equally fucked up.

>This is kind of a pointless thing to worry about though; anything is possible.
If it's pointless to worry about, it's pointless to rely on. As you said yourself, anything could happen. That's the whole point I was trying to make.

>I dunno what you think I meant by sacrificing independence.
What makes you think that's specifically what I was referring to? You shouldn't divulge your closely held secrets so easily..

>That's part of monogamy, isn't it?
Yes, anon, it is. Sacrifices are part of everything, relationships included.

>Another way of looking at it is that if I was a 100% sure on somebody
You will never be 100% sure on somebody, anon. You will always be waiting, looking for that person, using that as an excuse to fuck around.

>If those feelings are there, then something's wrong
Have you yet to find the common thing in these scenarios?

>but there was some legit regret in our talks about how their relationships and lives are going.
That is to be expected because they do not know how to manifest their "wants" to their partner. Or their partner is not willing to aid them (or both), in which case they should be dumped. But, too late for that, they got married now they have to stay together because they have kids or some bullshit.

>I don't know how you feel about this
My opinion on it is quite the contrary to yours.
Settling is finding a person that is not close to what you desire.
Settling down is finding the person that is as close to "your perfect" person and then crafting them into that person you want, whilst letting them craft you.
You sacrifice parts of your personality to make them happy, and they sacrifice parts of theirs to make you happy. That's called love, and it's the opposite of "settling".

>but in my opinion settling down is just that: settling.
You might have the wrong idea about it, then.

It is pretty amusing, I have to agree. I see no issues with any of the aforementioned lifestyles, they each have their own ups and down. I think it's rather petty for someone to claim the higher moral ground based on their sexual actives.

Yes. Plenty of people go for people who they don't really want but are they happy? Satisfied? Feel good about themselves? Mmmm get to come home every day and see my fat wife who I won't be having sex with. But I guess that's reality for some people.

>It's closer to 1/1,000,000. "That perfect person" will never be met, or you've already met them and they're gone never to be seen again.

>That's beautiful
Glad you think so, anon.
>explains why there's not a lot of people actually 'in love' with each other.
That's actually exactly why. Almost nobody knows how to actually maintain a relationship in a healthy way. Nobody knows how to let their significant other to train them, nor do they know how to train their significant other. Everyone just runs around like chickens with their heads chopped off hoping that they'll stumble across happiness.

Spoiler alert, that's not how it works, you need to create your own happiness. But, to do that, you must know what you want, then you must be able to convey that in a meaningful way, then you must convince the other person to allow you to obtain that want. Here's an example (this ties in with >Not looking for a perfect person anon, just someone who doesn't annoy me in some way.)

Let's say, your significant other does a thing to annoy you. We'll say they don't greet you at the door when you come home from a hard day at work, and that makes you annoyed or whatever.
Let's look back to the steps.
>1. Identify what you want
You want to not be annoyed; the cause of the annoyance is not being greeted.
>2. Convey your wants meaningfully without belittling the other party (bonus tip, use "I" language, not "you" language. You language is persecutory)

"I would like it if you would greet me at the door when I get off work."

>3. Convince the other party to partake in this adventure (protip, reward them when they do the thing you want, never punish them or you'll fuck yourself.)

>You come home
>Your partner greets you at the door gives you a hug a kiss, or whatever
>You give them some sort of reward that they want from you

Congratulations, you're now in a functioning relationship! Now just maintain that until you die.

>Plenty of people go for people who they don't really want but are they happy? Satisfied?
I would say a fair amount of them are happy with the fatties they get. Not all, but most.

You missing the point bro.

It's fun as hell, not just the sex, but the whole experience of meeting and connecting with different women on a genuine level.

>>743677540
Sorry, but the whole paradigm of monogamy is largely bullshit and awful. Kind of like working in a JOB when people are perfectly able to dominate and thrive in the world on their own.

It exists just because it's easy and the status quo. People are simple peasants and it's the accepted thing to do. No one is gonna hate you for having a safe reliable job and an average girlfriend. Step outside that and you get people you want to fuck with your shit.
>>
>>743677389
>First step complete

>I cannot tell you
Depressing indeed. I suffer from dyspraxia while also needing the constant attention of others. I have zero idea how to function on my own, how to have independence.

Just telling me that means I have already lost as I can't do anything on my own and seem to just be great at making my own life worse, probably because I am too incompetent to do anything properly or follow instructions correctly so that instead I make bigger disasters.

If I can find something worth checking out. Which I usually don't.
>>743677735
>Kind of like working in a JOB when people are perfectly able to dominate and thrive in the world on their own.
Some people don't want to hop from job to job, they want to have a stable career.
Some people don't want to hop from hoe to hoe, they want someone to actually connect with on more than a superficial level for a few days.
I literally couldn't care less about the sex. I have basically no sexual desire at all. I want to meet someone I can have REAL mental connection with. Can't do that with one night stands.
>>743677844

That's understandable, the unknown is scary. But the only way to make it known is to tread the path of darkness and feel your way around until you find the answer.

I appreciate the honesty. I like directness. But I doubt my capabilities to get any control in life. I am too afraid. It would require fighting against those that have control and risking my life, a life of an incompetent person that cannot do anything properly, to hopefully make it. Too much of a gamble.
