Theres a whole load of stuff you can do to make £30, but let's face facts - You won't go gambling, you won't steal, and you won't sell drugs. Why would you? You're clearly not the sharpest tool but you're smart enough to know that shit isn't worth messing with.

You only have two logical options:

1) Get the £30 and give the Landlord £100.

2) Give the landlord the £70 and the rest when you have it.

So option 1). Your best chance is borrowing. Payday loans from a cash converters type place (good luck getting something bank holiday though..), relatives, friends, the other three people in the bedsits.

Maybe you can write him a cheque. He won't be able to bank it until Tuesday and if you get paid Wednesday, there's no chance it wouldn't be processed by then.

Lastly, get yourself down to a pawn type place and pawn your laptop. You don't need it. Buy it back on Wednesday.

Okay, option 2) and probably the better one. Your landlord is bent. But he's not stupid, he's not going to lose ALL income by chucking you out. Some money is better than no money. He will accept it. If I were you, I'd call him right now and tell him that you don't get paid until Wednesday and thems the brakes. Man up and make your point to him. Theres nothing you can do, and you can guarantee the remaining money.

Side note. OP, I say this because I care: You are clearly struggling and what you're doing isn't sustainable. You're gonna be in the same situation again before too long but next time there will be nothing to sell.
Change your fucking situation. Speak to the local council. Sort this out. If he's told you that you gotta stump up or get out, this clearly isn't the first time you've been late. No one threatens eviction for a first offence. Get help, or face the dire alternatives.
