It's very unstable. Heat and sunlight will kill it, so you need a cool space to store it, that is away from light and heavy moisture. Easiest is to put it in the freezer, but a basement works too. You wanna keep it wrapped in tinfoil unless you plan to use it. US m8. I only did nitrous a couple of times because I was really bored, it was cheap, and my friend had one of those dispensers. The dissociation sort of stacks if you keep doing them in a row, so like a box of 24 in 30 minutes will get you extremely high. Some people, especially in combination with psychedelics, report experiencing ego death on nitrous, sometimes just nitrous alone. People really underestimate how potent a dissociative it is, though the high is extremely short lived and I really don't have much desire in doing it again. I wouldn't lump it together with other inhalants, since it's a legitimate anesthetic agent used in medicine.

My drug of choice is opiates, namely oxymorphone but that hardly ever comes around here. I'm currently dependent on morphine, so in order for me to get high on opiates I'd have to inject them. It's not really an excuse. If you're dependent on opiates, you're not taking them to get high anymore; you're taking them so you can get well. For most opiate addicts, it isn't as simple as just fixing what's wrong in your life and then you're just magically not going to want to use anymore.

We're not idiots man. We know what we're doing is wrong and unhealthy. When you build a physical dependence on a substance, the addiction is on an entirely different level. So I let him pull out my duffel bag and proceed to pull my day old, probably still sweaty workout and golf clothes article by article on the hood of his car. Once he started putting my golf clubs and stuff on the ground, it started to get old.

I had a few scare before where I've had to swallow something fast, so it felt awesome knowing he would never find anything.

I don't respect the drug laws that they enforce, but I understand that they have to enforce it.

What I don't understand is why they feel the need to go that extra mile leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of charging you with a crime.

If they've thought deeply about these laws they're enforcing, I'm sure they would reach a similar conclusion to mine. I believe drugs should be legal, but if they're illegal you should be able to pick them up and take them to a safe place to administer the substances. Any crime committed during transport can be reduced down to what is essentially a pre-crime. They will arrest you for something they think you might could have done in the future.

Yeah, I'm in the South, as well. But my main gripe is that when I ask them about why they enforce a law that infringes upon my innate rights as a human, they tell me that they're just doing their jobs. If you were just doing your jobs and you practiced a bit of discretion for the easy going situation, then you wouldn't be hell bent on finding drugs from a hunch.

I just finished med school -- I got into a car accident before I could start my residency, so I'm kind of just in limbo now -- and I spent a summer working with a mentor of mine who had just opened an outpatient opiate treatment clinic. I've had my own addiction issues so it was rewarding to see things from the other side.

Part of the clinic agreement was having a sheriff present when the clinic was open (mostly to supervise the urine tests b/c so many patients were mandated) and we sat around for a lot of hours talking about the 'war on drugs'. The sheriff who was usually there, which was a pretty cherry gig, had a really progressive outlook on the situation and really favored harm reduction and getting addicts treatment instead of just locking them up over and over. In his mind, it wasn't helping anyone and was actually leading to more petty crimes committed by addicts to support their habits. He didn't have a lot of support in the department, which seems to be the norm.

I agree. Ultimately, it's up to the people to decide how important ending the failed drug war is to them. But the DEA,needs their jobs. The police need their funding. And politicians need that extra scapegoat for their reelection campaigns.

They just stretch the laws to the very edge... Probable cause has become VERY broad and, if someone actually knows and stands up for their rights, they're viewed as not cooperating and therefore suspicious.

They'll stop someone for speeding. Ask them if it's okay to search the car without probable cause, and, if you don't consent, there has to be a reason. So, you either consent or they'll detain you until they can get a dog or find some other reason to jam you up. A warning becomes a ticket. They'll find some other bullshit to ticket you for -- I got a ticket when I was 18 in a new SUV for having the dealership's license plate frame covering too much of the temp tag that they put on the car the previous week. He wrote me a ticket for not having a valid insurance card for the vehicle even though it was only like 5 days old and I had a valid card for another vehicle. I think the cop was just pissed that I was 18 and driving a nice, new suv.

That's not to mention the prison industry. They go so far as to lobby for a certain percentage of capacity to be filled. Does this provide an incentive to fill arrest quotas to fulfill these contracts?

Yeah, you're right. I just really dislike this obviously failed system when their are experiments in policy taking place in other countries that are proving the concept of getting rid of the punitive actions to drug abuse and introducing treatment options, instead.
