Here's the bitch of a question like this. The path I led was very rough. Homeless spells, living on couches sometimes, eating once every other day or so. Went to jail for stealing 250K worth of shit, heartbreak, loss of friends and family, etc. Some very tough times to pass through.

But

I like where I am now. I like who I'm with, and I know for a fact if I changed ANY of those things that were hard, I would never have ended up where I am and never would have met who I did. I would never have the strength to deal with the shit that comes my way and I would probably would lack the depth of character that I do today.

So while it may save me a bunch of trouble to send an email, I'm not sure it would ever be worth losing the strength those tough times cultivated.
