You know, North Korea is a lot less centralized than it was, say, 15 years ago. While KJU is still the Head of State and Government, there are still county, city, and municipal-wide elections. He's just who they answer to in the end.

America will send deployments into other countries in order to accomplish "missions" that our government believes need to be completed. Whether or not they're justifiable is open to interpretation and is an often debated topic so I'd rather not open that can of worms.

North Korea's leader is crazy and doesn't believe in concepts like world peace, or joining the United Nations or any of that other civilized stuff. They blindly believe their society is the greatest and most powerful in the world because their leader is a living god, so who could possibly challenge them with his power and wisdom on their side?

North Korea, would I believe, in a heartbeat go to open war. They would probably believe they're on some grand crusade to fulfill the great potential of their people or some shit. China however will work hard to prevent it. Because China knows that in the event of open war, lots and LOTS of refugees will try to flee North Korea and go north into China and China doesn't want that.

Having said all those things, America has let other countries fuck with us before, but you attack us and it's always been our policy to retaliate. A message needs to be sent. You can poke the beast, but if you walk up and spit in it's face you're gonna get hurt. If North Korea, ever actually attempted a nuclear strike against the US, our nuclear deterrents would shoot it down and protect us. But the coming retaliation would be swift and we would make sure they didn't forget who they fucked with.
