It's a manga that's been running for 20+ years now, and it's pretty incredible. One of the things that's most interesting about it, is that the author has basically reinvented himself in his style several times throughout the series, while still keeping it true to its roots. During the first 10 volumes (referred to collectively as the "Golden Age" arc), it's basically gritty 80s style manga of purely dark medieval warfare, becoming borderlined historical fiction. but in volumes 11-12+ literally hell opens up and pours itself onto earth evil dead style but in a completely serious manner. Over the next ~5 volumes you have every bit of bad in his world corrupted and risen to full blown demonic rape-fests; corrupt priests burning everyone at the stake, packs of roving goblins kidnapping women, raping and impregnating them to make more monsters, an evil god-emporer who tries to take over the world etc. It then turns into a traditional swords/sorcery fantasy where Guts assembles a team of rag-tag heroes to destroy the five God Hands of hell, one of whom was his best friend and rival during the Golden Age.

So I'm still confused as to what Griffith is. Is he a good guy? He seems to fight for the good of mankind. Guts only hates him for a personal vendetta. Yeah, he killed a bunch of people, but he saved a lot more.

My take on Griffith is that he's an antagonist, and a villain by nature from our point of view.
He was destined to sacrifice, as the Crimson Behelit chose him as its owner. It's not so much that he chose to sacrifice the Band of the Hawk, but that he would have to achieve his dream, and that part of him is why the Behelit chose him.
It's true he saved a lot of people when he opened up Falconia, but he's also partly responsible for putting everyone in danger when he fought Ganishika, who exploded and tore open rifts allowing all kinds of monsters into the world.

I thought original Guts was earlier than 2011. I started in 2012, and I continued after another guy who did the same thing with Yotsuba&, who did it for a few years after Guts stopped posting Berserk.

Yotsuba would be pretty good to do, I missed the Daily Most Enjoyable Yotsuba thread.
I do them every now and then, but can't really do them consistently since I do Berserk at night, and that'd make Yotsuba during the day when I'm bus.
I'd say go for it if you want, /b/ could use it.

I used to coffee a while ago then one day decided to stop drinking it. Probably for health reasons but I don't even think it's that bad for you. More of caffeine in general, I think since also stopped drinking tea/soda then.

Bad-tasting water might be an area thing, I've heard some towns/cities had bad tasting water.
I live out in the country and had well-water which didn't really taste anything. Sometimes I can taste water when I have it other places, but hasn't bothered me too much.
I ran track for 6 years, water was drunk in large quantities. Never could fathom not drinking water.
Also milk, I love milk, could drink it any time of the day. Chocolate milk even better.
That's about all I drink.

Hmmh, milk I can agree on. Water, no matter where I go, tastes like shit to me. Only once did it taste good, but that was because I was dehydrated. Anything sweet or salt I'll drink or eat right away, but somehow my health isn't reclining. Do ya have a sport for me that I can do? Nothing with legs eh

Might be a medical thing, I'm sure there are others.
That's a lucky thing to eat like that and not be unhealthy.

Legs are pretty essential for a lot of sports, and just about the only thing for my sport, but lets see.
There's ping pong, swimming (kind of), archery, weightlifting, yoga. All I can think of for now.
I used to do some archery, was pretty fun.
Planning on getting into yoga, want to increase my flexiblity and body control.

As long as you're not fat and not at risk, I'd say that's a good place to be. Last time I had blood-work done, my cholesterol levels were too low, and things were on the extreme side of healthy.

Swimming seems pretty cool, local pools are abundant and it's great cardio.
I do weightlifting and it's great, so much fun to do olympic lifting.
Yoga looks pretty relaxing, I've done it a little. Get a webcam and we can do it together, working out is better with friends.

I sometimes fall over when just standing, so balance isn't my strong suit.
I can't even run in a straight line

Webcam, not sure if I can get one fast, I'll look into it. If ya want to work on ya balance, use a wheelchair. It's weird, but it really helped me.

Well, I mean, using a wheelchair as in wheelies and stuff. I had to spend most of my time in one, so yeah. It gives a bit of strength, but the balance I got is amazing (well, for me)

Hmh, depends on the wheelchair. I spent my time in a normal custom one, not used for sports and stuff. A wheelchair with those angled wheels can go pretty fast. My second wheelchair, eh, on it's secondary wheels it could go fast, but not like fast fast

Can always start with walking, then jogging, then running. Do some Couch to 5k type stuff.

I watch anime and play Oldschool Runescape in my spare time. Other than that and working out, there really isn't a whole lot.
Junior at uni, chemical/molecular engineering major, that stuff's been enjoyable so far. Working this summer at a research company, developing a relatively new breast cancer drug. So that's kinda cool I guess.
