It comes down to strategic objectives. All the North can do is push forward, and that gives the advantage to defencive forces, which would be bolstered by off shore bombardment like in the gulf war. Korean war, the US was kicking ass, NK first tried to get Soviets to help, they told them fuck off. NK then went to the Chinese and reluctantly they wanted to get back at the US for their intervention in the Nationalists escaping to Taiwan (the US 7th fleet was an insurmontable obstacle) so the Chinese flooded Korea with thousands of troops that overwhelmed the US military. In short, they have more people than we have guns/tanks. And the Chinese army has massed at the NK border, supposedly to prevent NK defectors in case of war, but actually, they are there to flood the country in case of attack by the US in which case the US would be reluctant to attack. Remember it was Taiwan last time, this time its the Chinese building the bases in the South Chinese Sea, I can even see a double battle, if the US attacks the NK nuke facilities, the Chinese step in, the US provokes a battle and in a double move, I can see the Chinese invade Taiwan to take it back at the same time.....

Here's some insight boys. The US would shoot down any nuke within an hour of it being deployed worldwide. If it were heading for the mainland, it would literally have to go through so many layers of defense.
1. Bases around the world with THAD missiles
2. US Navy with capabilities of intercepting it
3. US Air Force intercepting it
4. The thousands of of anti ICBM systems placed all around the US.
5. US hacking and destroying the missile remotely
6. All US allies and pretty much everyone else wouldn't want a nuke to go off.
All in all there's such a slim chance of a nuke hitting the US you should be more afraid of an EMP which would cripple everything

Well in all honesty U.S. troops aren't even that skilled despite having the best equipment and top notch fucking guns out there. We can't even beat a bunch of sandniggers.
