1. Hair transplant - Very very very expensive, it does work though but has a lot of factors to consider. The hair DNA on top of your head is different to hair on the sides & back which is why the top usually disappears while people keep the horseshoe (sides and back). Keep in mind that if you get it done, you may still bald where they didn't replace the hair leaving it noticeable again, also there is only a limited amount they can take from the back of your head. Transplants are getting better and better everyday but is very dependent on the doctor/surgeon so if you go this route, do your research.

2. Shave it. Make sure you're not a fatty when you do this, have at the very least some muscularity, definitely start hitting them gym if you haven't already.

I have a hair related question, but it doesn't concern balding. What do you guys think of gray hair? Like a single hair here and there and not dense sections of it? I have black hair so it really stands out and I started seeing gray in my mid 20s. My ex-girlfriend was the first to notice it, but she didn't seem to care. But, now at 29, my coworkers have joked about it given my relatively young age. I don't think I want to go the route of hair dying. I find that if I keep it short like I usually do, it's not as noticeable. Anyone else go gray early?

Not everyone looks good with a shaved head and personally, I think I don't. As others have said, I am still kind of attached to my hair although I have been slowly loosing them for years now (36 atm).
I tried several solutions and oils and stuff as well as rogain but saw little to no results. With rogain I did see some small hair growing but I don't think those ever matured and remained small and thin.
At the end I decided to try hair transplant which I did 3 years ago. It cost me 2.500 Euroand I added around 900 hair follicles which was around 3000 hairs.
I covered the back top and a bit of the sides where the problem was more visible. The top of my hair was still not that bad.
The transplant went well. 3 years later, the transplants still hold although my old hair has continued to fall gradually. I might attempt another one since my donor area at the back has a lot of hair left. I still use a solution of rogain and other stuff almost daily to try and preserve whatever I can.
