Med thread. What meds do you take?

I take:
Adderall XR 25mg daily
Adderall IR 15 mg daily
Klonopin 1mg x2 daily
Lamotrigine daily
Ambien as needed
>>
Lamotrigine is 200mg and ambien is 10mg btw
>>
Go without. If you can't function without it; that's natural selection at it's best. Rot.
>>
>>739908315
You ever get a rash from the lamotrigine?
>>
>>739908315
How did you get the Anbien script?
>>
>>739908755
Steven Johnson’s rash is an about 1/1000 chance. That’s why you start out on a low dose and then move up from there
>>
>>739908767
I tried all of the slow acting ones like Melatonin, Benadryl, trazadone, clonodine, and lunesta, and they all didn’t work. Finally, I asked for a fast acting one and got ambien which works well
>>
>>739908894
How about weed? An indica would knock your ass out!
>>
>>739908839
Yeah my mother started taking it, they did an 8 week step up program. Even though ita pretty rare, that rash is still scary to think about. I know it can cause a lesser rash for some.
>>
>>739909047
I’ve always been told to “stop taking meds and just smoke weed instead”. I’ve tried it before and it just isn’t my thing. I drink and party, but weed just makes me feel like I’m not myself
>>
>>739909080
Yeah, the rash can be fatal if it’s not treated quickly. That’s why it’s important to take it slow.

Lamotrigine has really helped me a lot though. A whole lot better than Abilify
>>
>>739909196
Thats the point of weed
>>
>>739909260
She takes hers for her Epilepsy.
>>
>>739909196
Don't take any meds. That's yourself. If you take meds and feel different; that's not yourself.
>>
>>739908315
i haven't taken my meds in awhile, but i'm supposed to be on:

lithium
seroquel
buspar
naltrexone
antabuse
>>
> Haldol 50mg
> Quetiapine 1700mg
> Fluoxetine 40mg
> Lorazepam as needed
> Clonazepam 12mg
> Diazepam 50mg
> Gabapentin 500mg
>>
>>739909302
Yeah. But I’ll have some, feel good. Have some more, feel good, have some more, and then feel awful and just want it to be over. And I have a pretty low tolerance too.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty fun and definitely something I like doing in small amounts. Just not on a regular basis
>>
>>739909342
Yeah, it’s used to treat epilepsy and it’s also a mood stabilizer
>>
>>739909522
> Haldol 50mg
> Quetiapine 1700mg

/thread

how are you even awake
>>
>>739909459
Lithium and seroquil? Two different mood stabilizers at the same time?
>>
>>739909622
Seroquel is and atypical antipsychotic.
>>
>>739909196
The meds aren't making you feel like yourself either, it's just too early to realize it. I recommend trying to smoke an indica and relax with it rather than attempting to make sense of it.
>>
>>739909522
Holy shit, that’s a lot of clonazopam. Is that as needed for a panic disorder? Or daily?

I take 1mg twice daily.
>>
>>739908315
30mg Adderall XR.

Do you guys know of any non-narcotic substitutes for Adderall? I am planning on moving to Thailand in a little over a year and they're assholes about drugs there.
>>
>>739909522
seroquel is ruin
makes you a zombie until midday and then its time to take it again at night
its no kind of life
>>
>>739909699
“Myself” without meds is a pretty shitty life, though. When I take these meds, I actually feel happy
>>
>>739909719
Daily. I just got out of the psychiatric ward where I spent the last 4 months. So I'm kinda dosed high.
>>
I should probably be on a new mg of luvox and 2x .5 mg klonopin daily but right now I just buy eitzolam online. I don't want a record of any script use.
I take 1 my of etizolam daily. I'm thinking about changing to a longer half-life benzo analogue, but I'm too lazy to get BTC and learn how to onion and pgp my way to cheap, self-prescribed drugs.
>>
>>739909673
Yeah. I’m assuming for Bipolar I or II?
>>
>>739909782
I take it all in the morning. No XR. So the effects kinda wear off at around 4pm. Doesn't sedate me anymore though.
>>
>>739908315
I took
Klonopin 0.5mg/night
Sodium Valporate 500mg/night
Risperdal 0.5mg/night
Fluvoxamine 100mg I think, can't remember morning/night
Propranolol 40mg as needed

That shit drove me to suicide, after I got out of the hospital doctor said she doesn't care and offered me more meds......
After I quit them I got rid of the bipolar and depression symptoms but anxiety is still here, not as bad though...
Any idea why I am better off of meds than when I was on them ? Besides, I wish I could only take klonopin for anxiety only but they usually piss on me with antidepressants and other shit
>>
>>739908315
You're a fucking savage bro. Kill yo self
>>
>>739909816
I'm also too lazy to proofread anything I post from my phone.
>>
>>739909757
Adderall isn’t a narcotic. It’s a central nervous system stimulant
>>
>>739909875
In my case for full blown paranoid shizophrenia with highly psychotic episodes at least once a year..
>>
>>739909622
yeah i really have to watch my lithium intake and i took the seroquel at night but it stays in your blood for about a day.
>>
>>739909885
you gain weight on it bro?
>>
>>739909976
Around 20kg when I was on Risperidone 25mg
>>
>>739909976
I gained weight on Abilify (aripiprazol). Hated it so much, and now I’m on Lamotrigine which works for me
>>
>>739908315
Gliclazide 2x60mg
Janumet 2x1000mg
Invokana 300mg
Travoprost 2x1 drop daily
>>
>>739909919
Well, however it would be classified, all amphetamines are banned outright in Thailand, and they don't fuck around when it comes to drugs there. Trafficking drugs can get you life in jail there.

I think they prescribe Ritalin there, but it's a pain in the ass. Has anyone had experience taking Ritalin and/or Adderall? Does it work as well?
>>
>>739909891
Haha, I’m a savage? Isn’t that a good thing?

And been there, tried that. Don’t want to try it again anymore though.
>>
>>739909937
>highly psychotic episodes at least once a year..

Pray tell, if you're OK with sharing. We won't judge you anon.
>>
>>739910120
I’m on two different types of Adderall. It’s Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine. It’s worked great for me.

Ritalin is methylphenidate, which I haven’t tried, but I know people who it’s worked for
>>
120mg duloxetine
900mg Lithium
>>
>>739909937
yeah please share i'm interested
>>
I take 72oz beer daily for accute longterm exposure to bullshit

i take vyvanse 40mg daily. have tried adderall, dexedrine, concerta, strattera, and a bunch of other shit. vyvanse is fucking dope
>>
>>739910193
Allright. I've had this since I was around 12, now I'm 32 and I havent had a year withouth at least one episode. According to the papers I got from the hospital I've been at the hospital 36 times in the last 20 years, most times around 1 month, but a few times over 4 months. The last episode started with me becoming more and more paranoid. At the peak I vandalized an ice cream store, beat up two women passers-by and 4 cops with a broom. I was arrested and after 1 week without my medication I went full blown psychotic. Did some stuff I'm not proud of and got transfered to a psychiatric ward where they figured out my medication and applied it. Took me a while to get back to normal...
>>
>>739910260
I was on Cymbalta (duloxetine) for a bit, but it caused a manic episode (I have Bipolar II). SSRIs and SNRIs are known to trigger those in people with Bipolar II.

Quick educational lesson for anyone who might not know the difference. Bipolar I switches between manic and major depressive episodes. Bipolar II switches between hypomanic and major depressive episodes.

The main difference is hypomanic episodes don’t involve psychosis. But sometimes when on an SSRI, manic episodes can be triggered in people with Bipolar II
>>
>>739910538
>Bipolar I switches between manic and major depressive episodes

I think you mean manic and not so powerful depressive episodes

And yes, I was on Cymbalta too and it made my anxiety sky high and gave me panic attacks as well as racing thoughts (I'm bipolar 2).

Daklinza-40mg

Have ADHD or something that actually requires it because adderall is shit for recreational use
>>
TAKE PROBIOTICS Y'ALL!!!! GET MERCURY FILLINGS REMOVED!
Thank me later
>>
>>739911002
You don’t “act”. I went through about 6 hours of testing. It’s not about “how well you do”. It’s about your specific scores. For example, I got in the 99th percentile in Perceptual Reasoning, but 54th percentile in Working Memory. Because of the huge difference, it was clear I had ADHD.

The tests are more abstract than you think. They are things like repeating a series of words, or manipulating blocks to make a shape. Not something you can really “fake”
>>
Anyone here taking Concerta, Clonazepam and/or Prozac? If so have any of you experienced any erection problems?
>>
>>739911132
Actually, for people without ADHD, they can get a sort of high off of it. If you do have it though, then you just become more focused.
>>
>>739911249
Some people experience ED when on SSRIs (like Prozac). It’s a rare(ish) side effect

I probably do have ADHD but I don't have any scripts and I snorted/orally popped a bunch of adderalls a friend gave me and the high just made me jumpy and overly talkative, watered down version of an already shitty drug in coke

Maybe you faggots should read the small print on your pills someday when you're not busy being total reprobates. Research what it is you are consuming. Fucking sheep. Also lolling at the amerifags actually paying $$$ for this shit. Fucking wake up!! This is tough love I'm giving you all!!

Haha, absolutely, SSRIs fucked me up until they figured out I had Bipolar II.

I was on both Celexa (citalopram) and its enantiomer, Lexapro (escitalopram). They worked well until I went to a higher dose (but that was because of my Bipolar II, not because of the medication in general)

>>739911920
SSRIs have an effectiveness threshold of about 2 weeks (they don’t start working their magic until then). Plus you’re on a fairly small dose.

Don’t give up hope!
>>
>>739911753
I've never thought to use drugs to focus but I seriously think my brain is effed and I don't want to do my work.

>>739911786
Adderall caused you to get depressed?? How do you come out of it?

No, had depression before, it just got unbearable
>>
>>739912085
Until I started taking ADHD meds, I had always assumed the lack of motivation and focus was just part of normal life.

It isn’t.

If you even think you have ADHD, I highly recommend getting tested and getting medication. Of all of the meds I have taken, Adderall has been the one that has improved my quality of live by so much

Zoloft 200mg, 6 months in not really sure what to feel about it. Not an amazing difference, way more anxiety and just numbness.. anyone had similar?

Bipolar II. It’s a good mood stabilizer. I take 200mg once in the morning

Is bipolar II better than bipolar I ?
>>
>>739912467
Some people try one medication and it doesn’t work for them, then give up all hope. If it’s been that long, I would suggest asking about trying something else.

But don’t give up hope
>>
>>739909587
After my brain surgery I stopped taking it for epilepsy and my mood drastically improved
It was like making me depressed
>>
>>739909196
people don't seem to respect this. weed may be a safer option than a lot of anxiety/sleep meds, but it's not for everyone. plain and simple.
>>
>>739912552
I explained up above, but in essence, yes. Bipolar II is the same as I, but instead of manic episodes, you have hypomanic (the prefix “hypo” meaning “low”). Mania implies psychosis.

So it’s basically Bipolar I without the psychotic-ness
>>
>>739912568
Holy shit what was the brain surgery like
>>
>>739909699
That's not how that works. Weed isn't the answer for everyone.

I totally get that. For some reason, mood stabilizers and antipsychotics often are good anti epileptics as well.

My understanding with antiepileptic drugs is they slow down communication in the brain, sodium blockers or something, so it decreases the chance of signals getting crossed/jumbled and causing a seizure

>>739913079
It's not bad weed, he's just smoking too much with no tolerance. He sees his buddies smoking a whole joint and still acting normal and is trying to do the same thing.

I've seen that mistake a million times. A fresh smoker needs one hit the get high and if you stay disciplined, you can keep your tolerance that low for a long time.

Probably is my issue tbh, I usually smoke it out of a fucking apple but the last time I was at my coke dealer's house and I railed .8 G of snow and shared three blunts with two people as well as two bong rips. Sat there nervously watching him play COD and I was terrified over nothing the whole time

Don’t think of them as the “gatekeeper” to your medication. Have an honest conversation, and they will try to do what is right for you
>>
>>739913348
Nice, gimme some!
>>
>>739913469
Trust me on this one. It's such a common mistake because it takes about 15 minutes to take full effect. It's why so many say it 'didn't effect them' when they tried it. They simply got too stoned and don't remember. Or they don't pass out and have the equivalent of a bad trip from being stoned as a giraffe.
>>
>>739913122
You don't know my story . Attempted suicide 3 times and had wile hallucinations. Came off meds, sorted myself out by myself , got rid of any pitiful self loathing thoughts by actually making myself happy. Realised I am better than a fucking pill and a pill distributor.
The end
>>
>>739913653
Don't fuck with acid if you think there's even a chance of it drawing out serious mental problems, my friend legit had a psychotic break. Motherfucker started screaming laughing, slamming his head against the wall, bit me then started jerking off

Fluoxetine 40mg
Copious amounts of ganja
I'm glad this works for me.
>>
>>739913653
http://drugs.com is a great resource for medication information. It’s not a site about recreational drugs, but for all types. There is an “interactions” section on each medication page.

I personally find it very interesting
>>
>>739913778
Also tried mushrooms and lsd, handled it and didn't pussy out. Put everything into perspective. Try it sometime and let go of your anchoring bullshit
>>
>>739913816
Idiot deserved how he reacted. Immature bullshit behaviour. A real buzz kill
>>
>>739913861
That's great for you, but everybody is different. Meds work for a lot of people. Just because they didn't work for you doesn't mean everyone they work for is weak.
>>
>>739913778
Huh. It’s almost like everyone has a different chemical makeup, and that some people have different interactions to medications than others.

Just because something did or did not work for you, doesn’t mean it won’t for someone else
>>
>>739908315
100 mg sertralin
50 mg diphenhydramine. to sleep
>>
>>739913684
Thanks for the advice. There are interesting threads here, rarely..

im 100 mg Zoloft for OCD

WOrks great for me! :)
>>
>>739913984
Yes it does because I was weak then made my self stronger. Actually made a point of it instead of wallowing in self pity waiting on someone else to fix my problems. The only time I would submit to the health service is if I somehow had a limb fall off and have to get it surgically reattached. Not gonna dabble in seeing shit back on myself.
>>
>>739914073
This is actually my first time making a serious post on here. There are good people on the internet, even on /b/
>>
>>739914125
Maybe your biology allowed for you to do that. Not everyone has that same luck
>>
>>739914125
No one said that medication would fix health problems. People like you truly baffle me
>>
>>739913950
Nigger he did but I didn't, I was getting into one of the best trips of my life with perfect intense visuals, I half fell asleep which made everything even more realistic and I had to snap myself out of everything because that faggot kept attacking me and I spent the next 6 hours holding him there making sure he didn't kill me or himself
>>
>>739914194
There are anti-medication people everywhere. They never seem to understand that everyone has a different chemical makeup
>>
>>739914130
I gotta go. Thanks for everything. This was a great thread.

I'm going in a few days to try to find something to get my head straight. I'm off weed due to work testing, but I still drink beer to calm down.

I have racing thoughts and stay up 2-3 days at a time until I give out if I don't drink beer. My gf says it's anxiety, but I'm not super sure about that. I procured some Buspar and I liked it's effect, but I broke out in hives like a sob. This is what I was going to ask for so now I'm lost.

I'm on call at work now and can't drink like I normally do. Melatonin does put me to sleep, but makes me as mean as a rattlesnake. I just need some course that will make everything slow the fuck down and keep me from feeling like a ferret on acid.

Any suggestions lads?
>>
>>739914182
I guess I'm just better at life hacks. Jokes aside I am being deadly serious, go unorthodox and quit thinking that a doctor that went to college for x amount of years (probably did nothing but party and suck cock to get up the ladder) is of any mental superiority than you. Have a good day
>>
>>739914296
Good luck with everything, I wish you the best
>>
>>739914248
Call me a nigger again and I'll fucking glass you
>>
>>739908315
pop norcos and Roxi's on a semi regular basis, haven't had any for a couple weeks now though since my connect is on life support now
Never liked any other pills, made an exception for these because opiates kick ass
>>
>>739911017
i hope you stay in jail forever sick fuck
>>
>>739914300
you're going to develop a dependency where your body goes into panic without the beer. you could see a psychiatrist and talk about your options, try smoking some weed, meditate, or try some grounding exercises.
>>
>>739914182
Also I can't stress enough about NOT being "luck" luck is bullshit. Hard work isn't . And I mean hard work
>>
>>739914318
For people with debilitating mental health issues, medication can be a literal life saver. Don’t disregard that because of your personal anti-med bias.

It makes you seem as bad as anti-vaxers
>>
>>739914375
Nigger
>>
>>739914454
Most of the time it's a life ender. Lul
>>
>>739914452
I say “luck” in the same way that some people are “lucky” to be born into privileged families
>>
>>739914452
"hard work" doesn't fix schizophrenia, brain damage, autism, executive functioning disorders, etc.
>>
>>739914544
Bitch, I ain't no cosmic accident.
>>
>>739908315
Pro tip anon, try avoid things that are high in carbs, also avoid any pre-made food, and lastly avoid having sugar if you can help it, seriously you will feel better and odds are won't need half the meds you end up taking
>>
>>739914561
Euthanasia however.....
>>
>>739914590
Not “accident”, no. Maybe “random chance” is a better description than “luck”
>>

Y'all just eating too many gmo and sugar. I mean for god sake when I hear America I get this montage vision of shit dawg
>>
>>739914612
Fixing your diet and lifestyle has a massive effect on depression and anxiety, but it's not a cure-all for more serious disorders
>>
>>739914612
You’re literally suggesting a homeopathic approach to fixing mental health issues.

Should I also eat kale herb supplements instead of taking vaccines?
>>
>>739914732
Part of the hard work I was referring to. Make a fucking effort for yourselves y'all
>>
>>739914561
no but half the time these are symtoms of something that you have been consuming ( i have epilepsy (or psuedo-epilepsy current docotor's fighting about it ith my nero) and the medication i take basically is just simulating me being in ketosis. I can do that without the meds and the side effects by just eating right. Obviously some medication may be needed but, to say that America's health system isnt corrupt as fuck is just plain wrong
>>
>>739914732
I agree 100%. Some things can be helped without medication. But not legitimate mental health disorders
>>
>>739914749
You haven't tried anything obviously
>>
60mg adderall xr daily
40mg zoloft daily

havent touched either in a while but i should also probably be on somedrug like lamotringin
>>
>>739914827
Believe me, I have. Low carbs and non-processed foods won’t help much with Bipolar II disorder
>>
>>739914796
even eating right and exercise cannot completely eliminate depression and anxiety. it can for some people, but not everyone. i think everyone experiencing mental illness symptoms should try anyway
>>
>>739914749
1. Homeopathy is not that
2. Alot of medical problems nowa days are caused by poor eating and lack of excerise
3. I never claimed that it would be a cure all it was a suggestion that is 1. Not unhealthy/ dangerous and 2. should be done ANYWAY

like legit do you understand what homeopathy is, they belive that medicine "vibrates" water so that it has the same effect, they also believe that something that induces the symptoms of a dieseses will cure it, that is definitely NOT what I suggest
>>
>>739914948
probably but it can't make your health WORSE
>>
>>739914963
Agreed. It’s part of a healthy lifestyle, which is a major contributor
>>
>>739914999
Everyone w mental health issues should be eating right and exercising if possible but I think what anon was saying is that it's not enough sometimes
>>
>>739914999
I agree. I do everything I can to live a healthy lifestyle. That, in addition to my medication, is why I am in a good place right now
>>
>>739915064
Not DOING it enough. People bullshit so much about how healthy they eat and how much exercise they do. People are scum liars
>>
>>739908315
Sertraline 50mg/day
Clonazepam 1mg/night 0.125mg 3x/day, 0.5mg as needed for coping with anxiety attacks.
Bupropion 100mg/day
Zopiclone 7.5mg/day
Pregabalin 50mg/day

>>739908691
I agree, but life itself demands doing anything, even shameful things, to survive.
>>
>>739915130
I think you need a klonopin.
>>
>>739915214

All out war in here
>>
>>739915244
Why do you care so much what others are doing to make themselves live a happy and normal life?

You do realize that you’re coming off as an asshole, not the self-richous “protector-of-man“ that you think you are
>>
>>739915377
I'm not here for your ass licking nam sayin? Your opinion is not effective
>>
>>739915448
Nobody is asking you to stay. Go on. Don’t you realize that you’re not wanted in this thread?

If you had some actual opinions and arguments instead of calling people “faggots”, then sure. But right now, everyone just thinks you’re a douche.
>>
How the fuck do you guys get prescribed so many benzos? Do you doctors give it to you long term? Is this an American thing?
>>
>>739916520
Mine are long term because I can’t take SSRIs for my anxiety (they trigger manic episodes in my Bipolar II).

It’s not a great situation, but it’s the best option right now.
>>
