As a fellow math and physics graduate let me tell you, there are no jobs for STEM now. Funding has been cut so badly that there are no STEM positions, no jobs around to begin with, schools need to pay people with actual science degrees and MS and PhD holder much more than educators so they don't hire them. And also the SJWs have pushed so fucking much that even research facilities are adopting race and gender quotas, which all of the actual researchers despise because the people hired through it don't work as hard nor as efficiently and they quite really quickly after learning it's harder than what they did to get in.

No. You're probably not smart enough and you're a bit too old to thrive well enough to have any kind of impressive outcomes from college, unless you're after a very specific skillset with which you intend to do a very specific job.

Say you get your degree by 30. You're a 30 year old fresh college graduate trying to get into a particular market that might not be hiring as strongly 4 years from now as it is right now, and interviewing as a college graduate with a middling GPA and too many expenses to do an unpaid internship for 2 years. You've sunk $50000 into your education in the hopes that there would be a job waiting for you once you got that magic paper denoting you as competent.

Yes and no.

Law (in the US) is a "graduate" degree in the sense that you need a bachelors degree to be admitted to a law program. But the for complicated reasons, the degree your getting is essentially an undergrad degree in law. You can also do a masters in law (which is what I was referring to) or a PhD in law.

So just like most undergrad fields there is Bachleors, Masters, Doctorate, the only difference in law is that you need a previous bachelors before you can do a law one.

Yeah, I mean don't get me wrong, many of the engineers at Princeton were pretty one-dimensional as well, but the average was impressively well rounded. Not that I think this is the most important measure, but over half the kids there play a team sport, which says something.

Yeah, I heard as far as undergrad culture goes, Princeton and Yale are at the top. I wish a well rounded liberal arts education was still a thing at more universities. Seems it's all moving towards hyper-specialization. (before anyone gets triggered "liberal" in the classical sense of the word)

Lol.

Also, you'd be surprised at how many science graduates (especially comp sci) cannot write a coherent paragraph. It's embarrassing, actually.

I know. But the name is misleading.

A Juris Doctorate is not the same as a doctorate in law, which is either called a Phd in law, or more often an SJD. In fact the JD used to be called the LL.B (with the b standing for bachelors) they changed the name but it's the same degree.

To make it even more confusing, the graduate law degree at Oxford is called a bachelors degree even though you need a law degree to do it.
