Aren't you too afraid of death? The thought of harsh reality and pain while contemplating about the end result of you physical body breaking down and your consciousness being wiped from existence. Where will you go? Religions aren't correct but it brings a possibility although they were made up from people thoughts. Will death be the same for us all on earth? Will we all get an after life including other animals? When a roach's head is disconnected from it's body is it dead already although it moves? How to co-op with my feelings towards pain and death, how can I be normal, how do I go on throughout life. How do you live? What is living? How do you find happiness? It's so difficult being around people when all you think about are things that they don't think of at every moment like I. They either forget about it or just too common to understand. Anxiety, depression, and overall thoughts about life just makes me sad. Even though I speak like life is bad because of the fucked up shit we do on this earth and all I think about are negatives majority of the time, i can never being my self to suicide or wish to be killed. I cling to life even though I hate it at times but I fear death most of all because its the unknown end besides having knowledge of the fact that you will be stripped of your existence through pain. I have so many questions about life and death, and even if i find them out it won't matter cause death will still take me. My bad for bothering you /b/ even though most of you will either reply with something that shows you dont care or scroll thinking im weird and confusing but yeah..

I tend to think the same from time to time, its really depressive as it kills my will to do things for the rest of the day (because, what's the point?, right?).

I've died a few times on the operating table, I wasn't even aware it had happened, didn't see or feel anything, one minute awake, a few seconds of heavy headed "sleep" then awake again, no dreams or a light or even fire.
I know it's silly but that cemented my disbelief in any kind of afterlife, kinda hard to be scared of it really

I've hanged myself, I've drugged myself to death, I've been hit by a car - I've lost consciousness in all those cases (a couple of seconds after the hanging and after the crash, a couple of hours in case of drugs), I was "dead" for some time in all those cases - yet the only thing I recall is the moment when I got awake.
AFAIK, people who were in a come report likewise. It all seems quite coherent with our knowledge about human brain.
And there's the claustrum. My own research indicates that the medical research on the topic is quite accurate - I'd say with high confidence it's the centre of consciousness; forebrain parts directly connected with it by extension should maintain human's self-awareness.

I know these thoughts well.
I live for the moment, and dare not dwell on the future. It is too much for me, I'm not strong enough emotionally to walk down that road again. The last two times I truly contemplated the infinite, and what infinite means, I had breakdowns and had to spend some time talking to doctors I a hospital for a few weeks.
Now I live for today, and I feed my cat and kiss my wife. I fap, I play video games and I watch cringe youtube channels because distraction is key. Its late today so I'll live through today. It's likely I'll live through tomorrow but I don't want to think about it. I'll probably fap, kiss my wife, cuddle my cat, and survive. Someday that will end and what happens next is too much.
Because literally everything will happen after that. People will get cats and get married and eventually humans will end. We will all be dirt.
You aren't completely alone, but you are alone in the sense that I won't walk down that traintrack of thought because it will derail me again.
Best of luck finding someone OP. Find a reason to live ans focus on that every day. Pray that list doesn't run dry.

I've had drunk conversations about it with most of my friends, family and acquaintances. Everyone has a view on it, some will surprise you with how close they chime with your thoughts. It takes some social grace to get onto that topic though, it quite uncomfortable for some people.
If it helps, my solution for not worrying about it is that I consider my life a closed period of time. I will never be aware of a second of time in which i don't exist therefore it doesnt exist in my reality at all. History is a story, the future is irrelevant, but still fun to think about. My only worry is that the last second of my life will feel like an eternity as my dying brains perception of time dwindles to nothing.
