You'll be ok in the long run, OP. I got a dui about 13 months ago. I lost my job due to it, but quickly found another one due to the fact that I didn't want to do jail and knew America doesn't fuck around with their probation shit. I rode my bike to work every day, sand recently got my liscense back which is a nightmarish hassle. The worst thing about this is the 2 year interlock and tripling of car insurance for 3 years. This will make me poor as fuck fibrillation it is over, and I won't be able to afford to go back to school. It's awful how the justice system is here, but it is what it is and all you can do is deal with it in anyway you can.

I've done it. It wasn't that bad at all.

Then again, I had been working a job and paying my own bills. In a word, a had responsibilities and was used to adult life (and child life if you want to include the hardships of abuse, hunger and homelessness), so jail life wasn't all that bad. Kind of a relief.

Anyway, just serve time to pay off the fees. It won't be that bad.
