Hijacking sounds like a plausible solution but these threads behave like hydra heads; attempt to kill/derail/hijack and the OP leaves and starts a new thread. Then again, thanks to the 5 thread limit I only have to do it to a few threads at a time. I don't make a lot of threads, and statsitically, I'm guessing that most people don't either - its so much easier to jump on a bandwagon than fashion one from scratch.

It's like the site archives a thread and then reposts it later in order just to spam content.

I've also noticed that popular threads will fall off the catalog for a little while, then reappear. These are usually those same kind of botted threads. Some image limit celeb/fb fap thread, will be rising gradually over a couple hours to 150 then when it gets to about 130 it will fall off the catalog and something else will quickly come up in its place then when that falls off it will appear back the way it was and continue as if nothing happened.
