Nostalgia holds absolutely no merit in how good a console is. PS2 was the best for it's time, it just had good enough games to keep afloat for so long.

In my opinion the consoles are fine, but video games are just getting shittier and shittier every year. You never get the full game without having to buy dlc. But honestly games also hold no merit in saying how good a console is because Sony/Microsoft/whoever didn't make them all, other companies did. Plus games are based on opinion not actual facts about the consoles.

Most of the content from what I've seen comes from the community, which usualy divides into two catagories: Heroes aka the white knights that'll help out anyone but kill you after you start shooting new guys who are trying to kill you with axes. And then there's bandits, tl;dr cunts that kill everyone on sight. There's also people in-between, but most of the gameplay is just a Battle Royale type shit, but the fun is in finding friendly people and teaming up. There really isn't anything inovating in these types of games...

Oh yes the ps2 was great with a great game library. Unfortunately you had to constantly replace your hardware because after about 2 years the disc laser would burn out. I agree that the games on ps2 we're great but the hardware is vastly inferior to ps4 not just by graphics but in total lifetime. I've had my ps4 since launch and I haven't had to replace it nor have I had any hardware problems even once while I've owned upward of 10 ps2 consoles because of hardware malfunctions. Ultimately I've saved hundreds of dollars with the ps4 because I don't have to constantly replace it.
