I'm 34, nobody would consider me for an apprenticeship at my age. When I was younger my parents were always 'go to university, use your brain'. Came out of uni with some debt and just ended up falling into a mid tier office job. All it did was get me some debt and put me a few years behind my peers in life.

I would love to be a carpenter or something though. If I had my time again I would definitely get an apprenticeship and learn a trade straight from school.
