Your body burns, even at best, 2500 calories a day. 2500 calories x 12 days = 30,000 calories, 3500 calories in a lb of fat = 8.57 lbs, at most, unless you lost water weight...

I thought that myself until I actually did it.
I was bored during dummer break and thought I dhould feel like what real hunger felt like.
I stopped eating altogether and only took vitamins and the daily reccomended sodium to avoid flushing out all my electrolytes.
I lost 4 kgs during my 3 day fast, and after the third day i couldnt stand up for more than five minutes without passing out. So i broke the fadt with a piece of bread. I had never thought that a single piece of bread could make you feel full, but appearently it can. After i fasted thibgs tasted better, and i could also differ between "bad food" and "good food". Proteins made me feel fuller longer, and carbs made me feel less energized and also less full.
I reccomend a three day fast or longer, after the first day i forgot food altogether, but because you are older than i am (18) you should probably do it 2 more days than i did. Your brain is probably more hardwired to eat when bored, stressed or depressed than mine was at the time. After a while i lost in total 30 kgs and i am today still eating healthy two years later. Cut out the added sugar. As in, sugar that isn't naturally there. Many juices, iced teas, snacks, etc all have sugar that isn't naturally there. So cut that crap out. Eat more protein and veggies, less carbohydrates. Cut out the rice entirely. You'll lose 10 in a week and it'll keep going down from there. The first week is the toughest but it's easier after that.

jfc none of these bitches have ever been fat and think it's just as easy as "stop eating" when the habit you've gained basically turns twinkies into heroin.

The goal is to stop eating as much, but star by making small changes. Cut out soda first, that's the biggest thing. The easiest way to do this is to find a way that you enjoy drinking water - for me, water sucks unless it has some ice in it, then it's awesome. drink a lot of water, and if you absolutely HAVE to have a soda, drink a diet. One.

After you're drinking water, stop eating out. I started by reducing what I ordered (because let's be honest, it's tempting to walk away from mcds without an extra somethin somethin'), then ordering kids portions, then i just stopped all together. It's a LOT easier without the soda, trust me, that shit is what gets you addicted in the first place.

After that start incorporating a mix of smaller portions and better choices into your diet. Replace stuff you know is gross for you with something that's a little healthier and work your way on down to the "cheesy broccoli as a side is okay stage, then challenge yourself to get rid of the cheese. Then you make a majority of those your meals, and let yourself cheat occasionally so that you don't go off the rails. I cheat all the time, the important part is to not stop after you cheat. Put yourself in the mindset that that's not how you eat.

I've lost 150lbs so far down from 500. Wore size 60 waist, down to 50, wore a 6x shirt, down to (almost!) 3x. I've got a long way to go but I've got all the right habits building.
