your dentist isn't gonna help you with acne lol. you need to talk to a professional. acne is usually a bacterial problem so make sure you shower daily and keep your sheets clean.

One way I helped reduce my own acne was change my pillow case every night/sleep on my back without actually having my face touch the pillow

Here's what i use OP..

St. Ives Green tea facial scrub (this stuff is amazing).

Charcoal soap (also works really well).

Burts bees herbal blemish stick (helps preventing your acne from spreading and breaking out more).

I would recommend using the soap first with warm water, then the facial scrub, then use the blemish stick on all of the red spots and acne. And if your face gets dry i reccomend cereve facial lotion.

Also make sure you change your sheets and pillow cases weekly and shower daily...

Go to a dermatologist. I had this problem at a time, but the acne was on my back and not on my face. I was prescribed 6 months of accutane and now you cant tell even tell I had really bad acne. Prescriptions and topical creams and washes (benzoyl peroxide) do wonders if used diligently. Good luck bro.
