Favorite anime movies (no particular order): Castle in the Sky, Akira, Tekken, Lupin the Third, X, Vampire Hunter D, Metropolis, Spirited Away, Cowboy Bebop

However, hands down my favorite anime movie is Princess Mononoke. The style, theme, characters, score, setting, and humor all are spot on.

Favorite Anime series (no particular order): Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online (only Aingrad arc), Agame ga Kill, Sacred Blacksmith, FlCl, Eureka 7, DBZ (not GT), YuYu Hakusho, Naruto Shippuden

However, I have a 3way tie for my favorite.... Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo have been tied that the top for a long time. Both the soundtracks and the laidback vibe of the scene/protagonists were always intriguing to me. But, lately, I've become obsessed with My Hero Academia. That show is the tits once you get 1/3 of the way into season 1. I've already read through the manga and am anxiously waiting for more. I haven't been this excited for new anime since I was in middle/high school. Its refreshing.

The costs are actually comparable, cg is supposed to be faster though.
They probably didn't have enough animators available for a full series.
Rendering it well should be fine though.
The only cost of a higher quality render is the time it takes to render more frames.

if you're talking about actually watching the animes, tonari has a shit end and doesn't adapt like 80% of the manga. manga is great though. say i love you is pretty good though fam, although it also lacks in manga adaptation. shit, a lot of shoujo just gets lacking anime adaptations. usually the animation is top and it's really fucking well done and spot on, and then it only does like 25% of the story. ffs

ore monogatari is pretty good but it's a bit too fluffy and lacking in any kind of drama for me really. not to say that i didn't enjoy it, i did
