A friend had an addiction to cocaine before which almost killed him got into debt lost his flat and sold his car for the drug. Never smoked so I showed him how to do it when he was trying to get clean, ended up only smoking weed whenever he felt like he needed a line of coke. He's been clean now for over 3 years got his life back on track and has stopped smoking that. Yes stoners can be annoying but it's better than doing other drugs or drinking alcohol.

I make 72k a year and smoke weed at least once a week, but never more than 3 or 4 times. Some weeks I just smoke a bowl, some I get really high and play video games or just hangout with my wife and dog. She doesn't smoke but doesn't mind it. It's all about moderation, you could say the same of people who smoke daily. I never get high and go in public and only smoke when I'm sure I have nothing to do that day.
