Is "Stardew" an autistic obsession, where you are living in it - or an OCD thing where you have to harvest every last head of lettuce? (never played, don't know this game). I play "Age of Empires / Mythology" too long for all the wrong reasons but I think they're more OCD than Aspy.

That is new to me friend. I once realized I had planned what I was going to say to order coffee so much that I said it like I was reading a book, and the words I actually spoke were, "I'd like a tall black coffee, I said."
Cringed. Thank god I was alone in line. The counter makes it possible to sneak away, or feel like you can. And I did.

YES! Would (and still do this one) contact rear molars together on alternate sides, and if a new person started or same speaker on new topic, I'd have to begin "tallying" their syllabic tempo starting with the last untapped tooth. Fuck, I'll tell you this, and I've told it to nobody, but here we are someplace where a person will get me, and I can't be matched with my statement: I worked (not union, just handyman) construction and would constantly be up and down the ladder: If I dropped a nail or screw, I had to go find it to ensure it "got its turn" or its place in destiny ... weird, weird shit.

What in the fuck I thought I was the only human being in existence that did this.

I use my knees and ass cheeks, flex them bitches. When I was a kid it was really bad and I would do it even in conversations, now I just do it to music and when I'm spacing off.

i only write with pens because using pencils or markers makes me cringe.

i cant handle the feeling and sound of pencil on paper. im also really good at drawing.

my grandma actually said i was autistic when i was little because of this.

to this day certain sounds cause me to cringe. i will leave a room if someones writing with a marker, or pencil.

even if i cant hear or feel it, if i see it, it will hurt the shit out of my ears.

Look at old photos. People didn't smile. They were busy living. Now we're forced to become presentable brands. There were times when one didn't need to have a social edge; of a class, you could be served, represented and only exposed to those whose time and attention were worth something. Your headphones may describe boundaries, and that's fine. Think of how precious your time is. I would hire a guy who sat down with headphone cords because I know he has a passion for A) someone's thoughts or B) his own

Oblivion is solid. But the bloodmoon expansion for morrowind is possibly my favorite video game anything ever. That and the fact that you could kill three different gods in morrowind.

When I sit I twitch my feet up and down or left-right non stop. Mostly when music is playing in my head.
But the most autistic thing I do is betting with myself. Basically when I walk down the road and hear a car passing by I think
>if I pass this road sign faster than the car - something good will happen today.
I think about shit like this almost unconditionally just because it "worked" sometimes when I was a teen.
>>
>>736923233
I actually have autism. It's what used to be called Aspergers. I've successfully stopped most of my autistic ticks, but a few still persist. I count a lot of things and I like things to be in multiples of 6. There were 14 stairs going up in my parents house. I'd always skip 2. There were 8 going down to the basement so I'd jump the last two.

OP and the world of this board: do you daily wish for a breakdown of society? Something that will bring everything to a head,so that your knowledge of obscure survival methods and your ability to seek real Maslow pyramid elements in their order will play out in a very "Revenant" style scenario - one that will favor hard-willed, socially unplugged warriors?

I'm saying we all value the concept of a social currency, but the average bear is wired by television and social media to pretend to need others. He will seek a group whose deficiencies will be multiplied to the burden of that group and its greater community. Give me a community of twitchy misfits. Survival is temporary. Existence requires data and nutrients and everything else is gravy if you're not an emotional prick. Everyone who panics in "Blade Runner" and "Alien" dies.

I like what you wrote, and I would love for a psychedelic moment to occur where you walk to a port and get to see in their prime the family tree of those who sailed - say now, then steam, then coracle and nets on the coast: how far back does this go? I'd cut off a finger to see a minute from five hundred years in your past.

Restless leg syndrome isn't what people generally think it is. It's a feeling in your lower legs akin to nerves awakening after being compressed for a while. Sometimes it can ache as well. It's called restless because it feels as though moving your legs will make the felling go away, just like when your arm falls asleep and flexing it gets it back to normal faster. Moving doesn't help though. The best thing to do is sleep, because lack of sleep is one of the main causes of it. It's hard to sleep though because it's uncomfortable. It's maddening. People who move or twitch their legs for no reason are just a bit fidgety. Nothing wrong with that.

The theatrical cut is unwatchable with the awful voiceover by Deckard. Final Cut is best followed by the directors cut. I'm usually not finicky about alternate endings/cuts, but for Blade Runner it's absolutely crucial for me to enjoy it.

2049 has the potential to be decent. Strange that so many years have occurred between and finally have a sequel. I hope they don't overexplain everything (I love the original for plopping you into the middle of Neo Los Angeles without explaining why things were the way they were, very clean narrative). Ugh, I hope it doesn't get bogged down with unnecessary shit. All 2049 needs is a similar premise to the original: a cyberpunk neo noir detective story in one of my favorite movie "worlds" of all time. Small lines in the original had so much depth to them, like a passing mention of acid rain and bootleg replicated snakes because real snakes are expensive as a result of being nearly extinct seem to indicate a deterioration of the earths atmosphere. It's one of my favorite movies and I can talk forever about it.

Not the guy you were originally talking to but that's my $.02.

Here's some of the things I actively catch myself doing:

I have trichotilomania and I'm constantly plucking errant body hairs. When I take adderall it becomes even more pronounced.

If I'm in a group conversation and there's an awkward silence, I feel like it's up to me to break it by saying something.

I spend a lot of time in bathrooms that are a) small, just a few square feet, and have both heat and vents on the lightswitch. I love the white noise, the warmth, and the privacy. Sometimes I just crawl into an empty tub just to read or play on my phone.

Every night I turn in to go to bed, I check my pistol to make sure it's loaded before I put it on my nightstand.

If a girl shows intimate interest in trying to start a relationship, I subconsciously start sabotaging everything by isolating, avoiding, or just act plain cruel towards them in a way that severely fucks with their heads. I'm a nice guy otherwise.

Every time I shit, I find myself standing up to observe the progress my feces are making in the toilet. If it's a particularly large and satisfying poop, I smell the toilet paper after I wipe at least once. Then I take a picture to send to my friends.

If I have errands, I map myself out the route I'll take a la Morrowind so it feels like I'm doing quests.

When I daydream to pass the time, I put together imaginary soundtracks for imaginary movies. I would love to score a movie.

When I meet someone who's noticeably unintelligent, I daydream about murdering them with a complex Rube Goldberg-esque death machine that I trick them into a death trap with.

They are probably going to fuck up 2049. I can't think of a resurrected long-dormant franchise that managed to live up to the hype.

I pretend I'm an actor in my head and play out different scenarios of movies I created on the spot. Some of them aren't too bad but I cringe at the thought of it...
I do it to keep myself distracted/kill some time

To be fair, probably 1500 hours of that has been spent in the SDK making maps.

Still pretty autistic when you realize that its 6 hours a day for a whole year
