I guess a little backstory is needed so here's a few main points as to why :

I did this a year ago. I didn't have the will-power, or decisiveness, to do it. I knew something was wrong in the relationship but couldn't separate myself from a sense of responsibility for her. It happened on accident when I was drunk.

It came down to a bait question from her in an argument. She asked if i even wanted to be together with her (just trying to dig me) but then I said no. It got really quiet for a bit. Then tears.
