Okay OP chemisitfag here, what you're looking at is 1of four things. It's either impure meth, heroin, BZP (PEP pills), or turmeric powder. Impure meth would be my guess but you should have kept some so you could test with ph strips. BZP is not common but does have the sweet smell you're talking about but so could meth depending on what the impurities were.
