Boxing on the otherhand is more or less landing more hits on the other guy or having more round dominance. Mayweather is the best defensive fighter in decades and at this point in his career he is only vulnerable within the first 2-3 rounds. Once he figures out your style and rhythm he can basically predict (with insane accuracy) what punch you're going to throw next, and he also instinctively knows the perfect counter for your offensive mistake. Since Connor comes from an MMA background and he's been doing that weird movement training and bullshit, his rhythm is going to confuse Floyd for a little bit, so he will have a short window to actually land something. Once that confusion period is over though and Money May has that timing down, Connor will be absolutely embarrassed and exhausted by the middle of the fight, and Floyd will begin to land at will.

I've trained in MMA for eight years.

I can tell you from experience that pure boxers are far better boxers than MMA fighters.

I can also tell you from experience that pure boxers are just that, pure boxers. They aren't fighters and they do not want to be fighters.

If you take the best striker in the world and put him in a grappling match against a 19 year old kid with 6 months of good BJJ training the striker will get choked out in seconds.

I have guys at my gym who train just Muy Thai or just Boxing because they do not want to learn to grapple because they hate to lose, and they know they will lose repeatedly if they take up grappling.

My boxing trainer is an ex golden gloves champion who is now in his late 40's. He can out box me all day long and I don't pretend otherwise.

He grappled me on two occasions just for the fun of it.

You will lose hundreds of sparring sessions and grappling matches before you win a single one against a trained fighter.

I have been in thousands of sparring sessions, thousands of grappling sessions, and I've won far more than I've lost at this point.
