Movies that are considered "cult classics" or are famous for "you just don't get it"

Pic related.

In all of the galaxy/universe that was the only system to look like the cave paintings..

David somehow figures out that they're planning to go back to earth to kill everything, how the fuck did he know? Bunch of floaty holo planets/aliens=death to earth? Fuck sakes..

Understandable why alien would rip davids head off and beat Waylon's head in but would it have killed them to put in a few subtitles for engineer language?

There are plenty of other parts I could call bullshit on but that'll do..."you just don't get it"...yes I do, your movie is shit.

He made a human connection with Lamont. They worked together, they talked, they shared between themselves, and Derek realized that blacks weren't all stereotypes, they were humans just the same as he, and subsequently realized that his hate and vitriol toward something that didn't truly exist made him largely more of a stereotype. This understandably shook him.

Lamont's humanity rekindled Derek's empathy, which forced him to reconsider himself and his life. I wouldn't call that unrealistic for a relatively normal human being.

Can we do it for series too ?

GoT is pretty well made but far from being as good as people think it is, fucking normes who never watched tv series thought this was the most godlike shit they could ever see when season after season this is becoming shittier and shittier with a plot going nowhere.
Fuckers finding it awesome that they can see boobs or well appreciated characters dying on screen for the first time in their life.

I wish the movie just stopped there as in the 4th dimension was just his mind relapsing and not being able to comprehend what was inside the blackhole.

Him yelling stay with it closing and ripping it all apart would've been a 10000x better ending. Legit would've made the movie a classic I think. But no.

Instead he starts floating around and talking about love, that part reminds me of the simpsons episode when they're looking for the secret ingredient to the Flaming Moe and professor frink has the machine....

The secret ingredient is, LOVE! kek

Even funnier when in the final scene he see's his daughter and doesn't even ask about his son, at all.

i just thought it was a nod towards alistair reynolds revelation space saga, Where there is a similar notion that being from another dimension/space time communicate through brane space using gravity - eg the love or attraction of objects.

i like to believe thats what they were doing instead of it just being human love transcending time and space.

Breaking bad is good, really well made, I don't remember for the moment what I could rate as good, recently I watched Legion who was pretty well made and interesting, american gods who maybe can have some potential even if the last 2-3 episodes were damn boring. Suits was pretty good for the first maybe 2 seasons, after that it's just too repetitive. Dexter was nice but really inequal from seasons to seasons, Peaky blinders was nice too.

Im not a big fan of "dramatic" series and don't have a good memory from everything I saw...

Clarke wrote alright novels, Kubrick directed masterpieces. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I think we must agree to disagree. It's one of my favorites of all time. A little blunt here and there but wonderful all the same.

Couldn't agree more. What an awsome read that was and in the right hands could make a great movie.

Unfortunately, they'd probably feel the need to also make the seriously sub-par co-written sequels. Could have done without reading about Gentry Lee's twisted anal bead fantasies.

>>
>>735927263
I don't have it, buddy. None of us do, but it doesn't mean it doesn't exist within the parameters of this movie.

The creatures (future humans?) exist extradimensionally. They'd be able to perceive time as more than a regular, linear, one-way passage. I'm willing to bet that when you essentially exist outside of space and time, you would probably have some means to measure and graph emotion into math.

That being said, it's all likely total bunk, but I was able to suspend my disbelief enough to enjoy the movie. I love near-future hard sci-fi. I fucking love time travel. I wanted to support it even if it's far from perfect because I want hollywood to broach into these subjects in a real way, again.

Love as a physical attraction of objects rather than persons.

Gravity could be described as a love for objects of denser mass for example.

As an example of that. take your incredibly dense brain. It is so dense that it creates fluctuations in space time.

Now take this hypothetical; existence of ideas having mass. one such idea is your inability to grasp new concepts.

Now these two objects are attracted to each other. much the same as say people are attracted to one another. now this idea and the dense mass that is your brain bond together. just as people are able to.

In all seriousness i dont have the math to describe what is still a hypothetical principle.
However in the novel i mentioned it is described better than i am able.

however this semi explains some of principles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brane_cosmology

If you replace the emotion of love, with the attraction of objects with mass, in interstellar. it makes the film better.
