People need to learn and understand that Asperger's is like cancer in the way it appears. There's a shitload of them, they can all come in great varieties of severity, symptoms and therapybility.

I have Aspergers, so yes, I'm autistic. I don't live in my own World, I just daydream alot. I have learned to do smalltalk, to socialize and all that. I have a guy at work who also has autism (the only one I know has it) and he is super awkward socially and just autistic u can see it. People always tell me they would have never thought I was autistic, but that's just because I am very good at analyzing and adapting over time. Im still emotionally retarded. I'll turn 21 in 2 months and I still experience emotional situation where I just literally do not understand what I am feeling. I can be hypersensitive about some things and stone could about others. I don't have drool leaking from my mouth while I finish filling this whiteboard with equations. I have an affinity for physics, chemistry and math. I learn fast. But my memory is not so good.

My point being, I'm just one version of one version of autism. Autists may exhibit similiar symptoms but they still are uniquely experienced by everyone and processed in different ways. Noone is the same and we all just want to fit in. Well, mostly.
