doctor here, trim that shit first of all. Treatment is expensive, yes and it can take a while. You can use a terbinifine lacquer and apply it every day for 15 weeks but you don't have that time. So do this instead. Change your socks every day. Don't keep your feet moist or damp. Clean your shoes and sprinkle talcum powder in them. Soak your feet in apple cider vinegar and wash them every night.

Lamisil cleared mine up but I had a complication. The fungus gets pushed out with healthy w/e replacing the infected area. My fungal infected tissue or w/e got pushed beneath the skin and caused pain and a lot of swelling. Had to have the toenails popped and removed. They grew back but I had the option of having them removed permanently with acid. Get them checked and fixed.

Hello anon, I refrain from posting here often and mostly lurk but I actually have expertise in this area.

I am 71 years old and a US Marine Corps veteran, I served in the Vietnam war for 2 1/2 years before discharge due to injury (shrapnel to shoulder)

As you may know, we did a lot of fighting in the jungle and slogging through made fungus like yours very common. by far the best solution I ever came across was one of the simplest: h202

Soak your feet in grocery store grade hydrogen peroxide as many times in a day as possible for 3 days to a week (probably not a good idea to do it more than half a dozen times at most however). use a syringe to squirt forcefully into the infected area. The peroxide will kill off the fungus fairly thoroughly even after one application. use a fine bladed pocket knife to lightly scrape and dislodge any infected materials, this will not only clean up the area and allow the peroxide to penetrate deeper but make it look better for friends.

Do not use any of the alcohol-based methods. It will kill the fungus, but will also make the thick skin on the pads of your feet peel off which is very uncomfortable, painful, and unsightly.
